Players get paid or not paid based on the playoffs all the time. See JR Smith as an example of a guy who cost himself a fortune right after winning sixth man of the year for his playoffs immplosion. And DeMarre is pretty young. I dunno. ¿ △ ?

I know it happens and usually ends up being a mistake more often times than not. It's never a good idea to pay someone based off such a small sample size. Also, he's not that young. He's about the same age as Danny Green and just a year younger than Trevor Ariza. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

![]() DeMarre is going to be 29 this July. He's having a great playoffs but we have to keep things in perspective. How many teams will be shopping for a 29 yr old role player at SF this summer? He's nice player but let's not get crazy either. Guys like DeMarre, Danny Green and Wesley Matthews are great players to have when you have even better players who can create shots and open things up for them. It's not like you're gonna be giving the ball to these guys and getting out of the way. That's why they don't get the Max.

![]() The key is to get a player that you think will thrive in the system you play.
Not after he breaks out!!! Kwai before he is MVP. Kobe at 13th pick Jordan at the 3rd pick. The list is long. Shit ain't easy. The key to brilliance is to see things others don't |

![]() I don't think ONE person agreed with him when I liked Carroll when he was a FA and playing for Utah, no I didn't think he would develop to the player he was today but I thought he was a high energy player and played the "right way" that we need, calling him a junkyard dog type of player at the time...
