I don't believe Phill even made offer to Utah for Kanter. That kid is looking very good playing next to Russell. We SHOULD have made an attempt to get this dude
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

No way to truly know if Phil didnt inquire. The west is weird though, they'll trade in their conference like no mans business.

The only trade phill pursued was the trade for Dragic. I am so happy this dude got traded to Miami; because my hope is to see D. Russel as our draft pick

Because Phil knows we need picks....a lot of you may not be aware, but we have no picks until 2019

We have three 1st round picks before 2019. 2nd's are easily obtained and are handed out like sweet candy.

Didn't we trade those picks for Carmelo and Bargnani?

Any team who gives Kanter a frontloaded maximum contract will put tremendous $ pressure on the Thunder.

If we do get a Towns giving Kanter a maximum contract might be step #1 in free agency.

You can't trade first round picks in consecutive years.

Yeah, it makes no sense to give up assets for Kanter. It's not like he's max contract guy. He's better off focusing his energy into the off season.

Kanter is not worth Max. I reserve this type of payments to guys who put together at least three years of double double production (Monroe)

We also called the sixes bout Embid. Anthony on the knicks podcast had a writer from Bleacher report and he said he knows knicks called bout Embid

What type of player is Ambiid? I watched a couple of his utube footages, he appears to be an excellent defender. He is nothing special on offense. He would look great playing next to Towns.

Would you consider swapping the first pick with Philly for Ambiid and two of their many first round picks???

Throw in Robert Covington and I'd seriously consider it. There would be a significant amount of risk involved on our end though. Embiid obviously has injuries that may become chronic (ala Greg Oden) and in addition to that, he seems woefully immature. Mix those two elements together in a pressure cooker like New York and I could easily see him becoming a bust. But his talent is undeniable and if those two issues are mitigated, I could easily see him becoming a perennial all-star on the same level of a Jermaine O'neal.

Sometimes one has to take risks to be successful. If we were to end up with the second pick and Phily had the forth or fith pick; given that they traded away MCW, one can assume that they will be looking to pick a PG. We might be able to parlay them into trading at least two of their many first round picks and Ambiid. We can then select several players of need.

However, I don't know if I would pass on drafting Russell for a chance to get Ambiid and Towns. It is a hell of a position to be in. I wish we had the assets they have

Embiid has really good footwork for his size. Not OK4 level, but not far off. Plus he has the potential to protect the rim on the NBA level. The injuries are a concern and I wouldn't feel comfortable trading for him until he make back on the court.
