Crazy how toxic the Reggie Jackson-OKC relationship has become. But OKC won't give him away, and they are likely to match reasonable offers.

I think they let him walk for anything upwards of $6M a year.

Man, Kanter, Dragic and now Reggie Jackson. I fully understand why players ask for trades but part of me wishes they can just sit tight for another 30 games or so. If all of these guys get traded, you know it'll be to teams that will want to keep them. Nobody's trading assets, let alone major assets, for a rental. That rarely happens. If these players get their trades, a lot of good FA options for us may come off the market now. That'll suck -- I want options! See what happens -- hopefully these teams can't find trades for a lot of these players.

Hopefully they all are still with their teams after the deadline.

correct. anyone that has to play angry in order to play well can't be fun to be around in a team sport.

He just wants to get paid. Oklahoma doesn't want to pa him so he wants to go somewhere he can showcase his skills.

Garnett. Rondo. Kobe and MJ played their best when they were pissed, Iverson, Alonzo, Ewing, Tim Hardaway, Reggie Miller, Sprewell, Gary Payton. Alot of guys played pissed or were better when they played pissed. Honestly, I love Russ. He seems to be that guy that will step on his opponents throat. The fact that Russ is an ass is perpetuated by the fact that he is playing next to Mr. Nice Guy Durant, and being quiet-even though he bitches alot, and KD plays lime he seemingly floats through the game-ngame-not saying he isn't trying just that he is very smooth, and Russ is very helter skelter.

You put Russ on a team where he is the #1, people qould be praising his effort and will to won just like they did Iverson. Playing with his polar opposite, who is regarded as one of the best, nicest guys in the game puts alot of negative attention on Russ.

Apparently they offered him a lot but he either wants more or a different role.
That much was clear last October, when Jackson and the Thunder couldn't reach an agreement on an extension before the Oct. 31 deadline and, as USA TODAY Sports reported last month, he turned down an offer that was in the neighborhood of the deal given to the Charlotte Hornets' Kemba Walker (four years, $48 million).

Wow! Surprised OKC would offer that much. There have also been reports that Jackson wants to start and run his own team. That'l never happen with Westbrook around.

Westbrook is the one current NBA player that can actually propell Carmelo's game to super stardom if they were to get paired in a line up. He plays with a passion that Carmelo or many others will never possess. He goes hard at both ends of the court, which is contagious. He is the alpha male that Carmelo weds next to him
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

He'll be lucky to get more than $12mil for 4 years now- his value has plummeted. I'd consider him at $8mil per year but not $12mil or more.

His main gripe is, he's said he wants to be a starter and a star (he said he loves watching the greats and wants to be one, and that all those greats were starters). The thing is, that Fish and Phil and said their main focus going forward is only focusing on players who put their team first above individual accolades. Combine this with the fact Reggie isn't even really a good fit for the triangle, and I don't get why we keep getting rumoured as being interested.

I gotta say.... you don't trade Reggie Jackson. They have westbrook yes but that dude is an enigma. You just put him it there. He had no position. If you have a talent like Reggie you take advantage of it the same way Wade played with Lebron. You let the Alpha do his thing and let Reggie run the point. He's a threat to score. He can drive and finish and he gets to the line. He plays defense and he's young and strong. You use that to your advantage not bury the kid on the bench. Make him be in charge of the Durant and Westbrook show like rondo did in Boston. Stupid franchise decision to alienate the kid.

Reggie Jackson's relationship with his teammates has deteriorated severely. If he doesn't get moved, the damage might not be repairable.

Wow. Didn't know it was that bad for Jackson on OKC. I just thought he wanted more PT and his own team to run. Looks like it's more than that.
