He is not starting NBA material and they need to watch his output and weigh what is best for him. I think he can be a decent 11 through 13th man on an NBA team--they are severely overrating what his physical capabilities might be. When faced with NBA caliber talents like Stuckey and Bradley--he has been pure DE league fodder. Over-matched in physical talent. Its hard to be a 6-1 SG in this league.

He did pretty well if you ask me. It appears that the entire team was lacking energy
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Yep he's a rookie--thats why I made this post. He's not playing like a starter in the NBA. He's been to the free throw line 3 times in his last 100 minutes(3 games) and 8-29 from the field. He was grossly over-matched against Bradley and Stuckey.

some shots are not falling which is going to happen with any rookie as they try to discover what they can and can't do in this league....

his secondary numbers are good even when his shot is off... ast/to... steals numbers are all very promising... and all point to a guy who deserves to play significant minutes on a good team...

whether he is a 6th man playing 15-20 minutes a game or a passable starter playing 30+ is going to depend entirely upon how well he can shoot...

by all accounts he profiles alot like derek fisher with better ability to attack the basket which is worth alot more than what we had to invest...

he's good.. give him time...

I love that kid. He has the heart to be a fantastic player in this league. Once again, please show patience with our young players.

he's 6'2 for what its worth

I want Jimmy Butler, Wesley Matthews, Danny Green or Aaron Affalo at SG next year and Galloway at PG

unless we draft Russell or Mudiay than we have Galloway come off the bench.

Trade THJ to get rid of Calderon's contract

No shame in that. Bradley is one of the leagues better perimeter defenders and Stuckey is a vet. The key is whether or not Gangston can make the adjustment.

Yeah take a look at his match ups defensively against Stuckey and Bradley. Not only could he NOT score he could not get stops 1-1. He's a heart player with SOME skill a 10-13th player on a team--not a starting 5 guy.

I would only trade THJ if I am promised a 10-15th pick

I agree with Briggs that Galloway is not starting material.
But he's good enough to play out the skein for the rest of the year
while we tank. I'm definitely not sold on his talent.

But, here's a telling stat:
How many times did Knicks STARTERS get to the line tonight?

Answer: TWO (both melo)

Take the ball to the damn basket!!!!

Celtics were very impressive tonight in their wire to wire win.

I think that I agree with Briggs on this one. Way over matched but we'll see.

Calderon on the other hand had another good game.

I would trade THJ for a 2023 2nd rd pick as long as it rids us off Calderon's contract.

And I want to see if Galloway can run the team now while we are in tank mode

If anything, THJ has regressed. I am not a fan at all.
I'd be thrilled with a top 25 pick, myself.....and even that
is a stretch.

Seriously though if we can get a 2016 late 1st/early 2nd round pick for THJ & Calderon at the deadline it would be great since we have 0 picks next year

Problem is teams no longer trade picks like candy. Teams value cheap young talent more than ever. Contending teams will trade picks like Cleveland did for a big like Movgov.

Problem is THJ has no value on a championship caliber team. He's too much of a defensive liability. He'd be gone already if Larry Brown was coaching. He would be labeled Delusional v2.0
