I know some of you are too blind to see the importance of those two talented players, but I sure as hell hope that Phil sees the light and manufacture a trade for those two players.
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

We have expiring contracts, Priggioni, and Calderon. Let's start with that to begin with. Find a trade partner that perhaps can offer a better asset to make the deal happen.

If Stephenson's idea was impress folks with his play away from the support group lineup and front office he had with Indianapolis, he has failed miserably.

He can play some D, can pass well at times, and is a good rebounder, but his shooting has been terrible this year, and I would think that Charlotte is a bit upset that they signed him.

The other issue with him coming to NYC will always be the distractions he will face if he ever plays here.

Biyambo is intriguing as a defender and rebounder, but the guy has been in the league for three years and he still looks like a guy who just started playing the game on the offensive end. .3 APG, 50% free throw shooter, and he has no consistent midrange game to speak of- no way you give up assets to get the guy unless you have to dump someone.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

I love trades so i already have plenty of ideas but i wanted to hear yours. Guys around here like to put down trade ideas but never have any opinions on anything.

I think Charlotte would have to be desperate to dump his contract in order to give him to us. Knicks might have to deal Early or like you say, find a team willing to give up an asset.

say a team like Sacramento. But they could just make a trade straight up with Charlotte. They don't have a need for anyone like calderon or prigioni.

Do not mind Envy, he is just a ball breaker, as we all can be at times here...
Many people laughed and continued to mock Briggs on Hassamm Whiteside, and I mean A LOT, constantly bringing it up over the years

Well, that was one of players of many he Briggs got right, just took time to develop, some other guys he liked included

Vucevic
Andrew Bynum
Olindipo (as he was a mid 2nd rounder at mock drafts at first)
Bogut (to a certain extent)

and many other players

Some of like Brandon Wright

Yes, he was also wrong about many others, however, he states his analysis before people can see them fully develop do to "potential" some of which do not develop to their ceilings
And that deserves credit regardless

While many here on the site like to say things like "WHY DIDN'T WE DO THIS AND THIS" but that is after the results are in and who cannot go look back and said we should have did such and such after they were proven to be steals...

I think Lance is a rare type of talent, when I saw Olindip before he entered the League, I compared Olindop to a poor version of Lance but had the luxury of developing correctly with a higher IQ
While he is still young, maybe some of his flaws can be corrected, and with Hairston and their chemistry issues with Kemba, it is very possible Lance could be moved

Biyombo is what he is, an athletic PF/C with great athleticism/length/mobilty/hustle energy type player
While he isn't an ALL STAR by any means or any type of flashy player, he is a type of player that team mates would love to play with
His ability to block and alter shots and run the floor as a BIG is quite under rated, as still has the chance to continue to develop a better OFFENSE game
Lets not forget Ben Wallace is much smaller in terms of height and he had a very good career while it lasted

So make a suggestion that is realistic for the Knicks and The Bobcats and maybe someone on the staff reads stuff from this board, as this is one of the better basketball forums if not the best

Can you show me one trade that was suggested on a bboard and actually happened?

To me, these trade proposals are beyond silly and are pointless since they are never gonna happen.

If your goal is to play roto bball, then I get it, but that is not what we are doing.

Anyway, to each their own. Everybody has things that get them excited, this is just not one of them for me since it is so damn impractical.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

no really.

He played well.

16 points
8 rebounds
3 assists

He is not that good of a player obviously, but he had a good game.

These new guys at least hustle and play team ball.

My bad, I'm talking about Lance Stephenson. I will try and be more clear next time.

There once was a young big; whom I believe was drafted by Orlando, later traded to the Wizzards, and on e again to Detroit. It wasn't until he got to Detroit, under the titullage of Larry Brown that he blossomed to become one of the fiercest defenders the league has ever seen. That young man's name was Ben Wallace. He had no offensive game to rely on, but he was used beaufifully by his coach, and end up winning almost two championships.

Biyambo is the new Ben Wallace. This kid has the motor and passion to become a hell of a defender in this league. A trade for this kid or acquiring his skill set via free agency is a MUST. Pairing him with a young Towns could prove to be the BEST investment ever.
