Elite footwork, rebounding, passing and guard like shooting mechanics and touch from a 7 footer.

Will fill the stat sheet like Anthony Davis and Joakim Noah. Everything people hoped Dwight Howard would be. Gonna make some team really happy.

Taylor made for the Triangle and will compliment Melo whereas OK4 & Melo will get in each others way

People in this board are sleeping on him. He's really good. You still take Okafor first but if i get the 2nd pick i'm not mad at all and want this guy. He's perfect for the triagle. Could be like Greg Monroe on offense and a beast on defense, a star in the league.

I was high on another St. Joe's Metuchen guy Andrew Bynum

Towns is light years ahead ahead with his footwork.
Bynum was a good passer in the triangle. Towns is a better passer/play-maker. Closer to Noah.
Bynum was slightly more dominant in the post.
Towns better range out to 3
Both Bynum and Towns rebound like they have control over the earth's gravitational pull

The fact that Calipari chose this guy speaks volume going back to

Towns would be a GREAT option if we don't get Okafor. He might even be a better option in Phil's eyes. Given how Phil used Bynum and Gasol you can imagine he'd love to try and put together another twin tower tandem like that.

I really like Towns especially his defensive upside. We need a top 2 pick cause Towns and
And okafor are the jewels of this draft it seems. I think it's a mistake to take the most ready prospect to accommodate a win now situation due to Melos contact yadda yadda yadda. For the benefit of the future and the team we gotta just take the best prospect on the board and best fit be damned. Well see.

Also calipari has a good record molding pros.

I actually liked him better than Okafor coming into the season. Right now he's gotta go #2. I would be more than happy to get either. If we can't I'd try to trade down.

Karl MeloAnthony Towns........Connect the dots!

Karl: George Karl, the man who we rooted against to succeed becuse if he succeded POst melo, then the trade looked worse!!!!
Anthony: The family name!!!
Towns: Is NY Melo's Town?

Hell no. If we are picking #1 and we work these guys out and the Knicks take Towns I wouldn't bat an eye. His talent and upside are undeniable. I have yet to see the motor or drive. Doesn't mean it's not there though... Just limited material on Towns. Limited minutes as a freshman and dunking on 6'4 high school forwards is not so interesting.

In those high school clips he is doing more than just dunking inside though. You can see the footwork and passing ability. He will fill up the stat sheet in the triangle

I trust that the Knicks will be able to judge the technical skills, physical talent and the mental disposition of any player we look to draft. If they see more upside in Towns i'm sure they'll take him no matter what anyone else thinks. You have to really do your homework and know what to look for. This could literally a historic pick for Phil. He has to get this one right if he has a 1st, 2nd or 3rd pick in this draft.

The 3 headed Anthony monster. How about this...

Karl-Anthony Towns
Carmelo Anthony
Cleanthony Early
Wesley Matthews/Affalo/Jimmy Butler
Langston Galloway

Maybe Travis Wear at SF or PF
Cole at backup center

I'm trying not to even fixate on Okafor. I really think we'll wind up getting Towns or Mudiay.

Towns has been my pick basically all season; he definitely has the highest ceiling of anyone in this draft. Unfortunately, he's the most dangerous lottery pick outside of Mudiay; I think he has major bust potential.
Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

I really feel he will compliment Melo a lot more than OK4. I have no issues taking OK4. Just something Phil and his staff will have to evaluate

People seem to keep flip-flopping on him- one minute he's the number 2, next he's the number 6. I haven't seen him play, so all this back and forth intrigues me. Is it fair to say he's a boom or bust prospect- a gamble? or is he a sure thing?

If we drafted him, then we gulch target Milsap or Monroe to play PF, and team them up with Beverley and Wes Mathews

Phil just said he is aware of the starphuching going back to Mcdyess and he is going about things a different way since the way they've gone about it the last 42yrs hasnt worked out.

This is encouraging since for the first time the knicks might value their high lottery pick and not trade him for Josh Smith

Yeah I think he has a very realistic take on how he is gonna have to do this. Even before coming here he talked about the fact that teams will have to find a different way of building teams and not just look for 3 superstars as the only way to build a team.

AND even better, he was basically saying we would try building in piecemeal fashion- no more quick, disastrous fixes!
