They need to waive Bargnani, Amare, Dalembert, and Shumpert....I would even throw Jason smith with that group....stop thinking we can get something for them. Nobody wants anybody out there on the trade market and we aren't getting first round picks for this garbage.

That's 5 slots...call up Thanasis and some other guys from Westchester. Sign some guys to 10 day contracts.

Try to move Calderón or Jr smith but they need to be waived and stretched.

**** this shot.... Bargnani with his injuries, Amare needing rest, shump hurt, Dalembert hurt... **** it dude we don't need them to win....we need to shut the **** down and look at the draft and off season **** this ****

They are doing everything right.
If they do what you propose we will win enough games to miss on ping-pong heaven.
We need all this clowns to lose consistently.

Lol....

I can deal man. I don't want to hear about any of the guys I mentioned. I just want youth and stress free losing. I want to see this new culture seeds planted. Lose with dignity

I am actually intrigued by this, I'm wondering if we sign some top quality D leaguers, thst they will perform better than the current Knicks

i kinda agree with the premise.

If I were Phil, I would see if there was any deal with Barg's contract to bring an asset back to take on a longer contract. I think we have enough cap space where we could add a contract and still have room for FA in this upcoming season.

Nothing out there? Release him. He is a distraction at this point and taking up a roster space.

I'd probably keep Amar'e because I would like to see him stick around cheap past this year. But he would end up signing and contributing to a play off team, and I'd rather keep him than have a scrub in his place.

Dalembert- I'm honestly shocked he has contributed anything. But again, I can imagine him having value.

If I'm Phil, I tell teams these guys are going to be released, and if they want them, offer me something - anything. Otherwise, take your chances that they'll sign with you or a competitor.

It is very likely to happen.
Melo may stick around until all-star game.
To much money and fun on the line.
Bargs, Stat, Shrump, and Sam probably out already... unless Pnil will try to up their value a bit for trades.
However it may only get worth if they will play.

I highly doubt we will bring in Thanasis because we actually value him and see him as a future piece to our puzzle

If we sign him this year, it would count as 1year and he will be a FA after 1 more season, right before the lockout or new CBA
Which will also be the same year Kevin Durant, Noah, and other's will be FA, likely a pivitol year for us

Thanasis has the much higher ceiling when compared to Early however, he is also much more raw in terms of skills, and needs much development/work
We are going to look to sign him to a 3year deal with CAP SPACE or an exemption because he is a late 2nd round pick
That was why he was willing to to take less and develop in the D League

If we do not do that, we could only sign him to a 2year deal, in which teams can offer him a contract in year 3 and we will have to decide to match or not with a possible poison pill

We likely will bring the 3 from that was on our training camp to our roster next season as well

Langston Galloway
Thanasis
Orlando Sanchez

This team is ****. We all know it. Now that we've acknowledged it, we can move forward to getting what we want, starting with Okafor.

Weren't you the guy who threw a hissy fit when people suggested this months ago? You know, before the trade value plummeted for the same players you are mentioning? I just wanted to confirm as much being that I'm an ******* and all, lol.

Three days until guys can be signed to 10 day contracts. I think waiving/buyouts might happen after the trade deadline. I think Phil gets something fit Sam. I think he could get something for Shump.

Nobody thought we were going to be this bad. Since we are then we need to drop every piece of **** that's lingering and move forward. That was my idea anyway but I said Christmas. This **** has been over well before that.

I think it was pretty evident that this team was **** from the get-go. The question was how ****ty would we be. And if that is what we had to look forward to, I don't understand the rationale in NOT cashing out ASAP and tank. Imagine how much better a position we would've been in had we moved Calderon and JR for expirers, while adding 2nd rounders for our serviceable role players. Imagine how much better we would be for next season had we used this opportunity to rest Melo and develop young players like Travis Wear, Quincy Acy, Cleanthony Early as well as whatever castoffs we got from the D-league (e.g. Elliot Williams, Langston Galloway, etc.) or other teams (e.g. Jimmer Fredette, Thomas Robinson, Meyers Leonard, etc.)

I am with you dude. I wrote a similar thread about two months ago. Some of you are late to recognize how terrible these cats are. Soon, many will finally see the light when it comes to Fisher and the coaching staff as well:))))

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Phil just signed Melo to a 5 year deal and we couldn't trade Calderón until sometime in December. Bargnani has been hurt all year. Shump, jr, and thjr have all been disappointments....Jason smith and Acy seemed like good pick ups.....Cole seemed poised for a breakout season, cleanthony seemed like a super rookie. Dalembert was supposed to rebound and play defense, larkin was supposed to be a good pick up, Calderón was hurt just before the season opener.

Every single thing that could possibly go wrong has went wrong. Why Do we always have to expect everything that could possibly go wrong will go wrong. Why can't we ever have things fall into place? I was expecting the Knicks to be hovering around .500 not fighting for the worst record in the league. It's a damn shame. If we were hovering around .500 then making lateral trades would make sense. Right now we couldn't move anybody if we wanted to and we really really want to. So Stan vangundy set the example that you don't have to hijack your fan base by making them deal with bull**** players....just waive them and cut your losses. We need to preserve our future and rebuild a culture. We can't do that with the veteran losers we have on this team. They aren't in the plans so **** them.

losing like Philly is losing with dignity. They are trying to develop talent. They have a young team. They get better with every lose. Our knicks are just embarrassing and having to read the injury reports just adds insult to injury. It's ridiculous. At this point, everything I said in my first post needs to go down. Lose with dignity and rebuild with purpose. Make good on the culture change and get ready for the draft and off season.

this is the reason we need to let all these guys go. We need a whole team of old pros to babysit this core group of losers.

We gotta rid the franchise of these garbage individuals

Saw that. He also tweeted about how much leadership KG is providing the Nets young players. I wonder if Phil considers bringing in KG as a vet leader.
