Isaiah Canaan[slightly stout Mario Chalmers] probably could start here

Capela seems like an interesting prospect, he's raw though

I wouldn't mind him at all, problem we have

Is a glut and redundancy with 2 guards

I almost forgot last but not least

We have put ourselves in a position to never do business with Morey

And this is why you shouldn't throw away 2nd rounders like their garbage! We still have a 2nd round pick in 2018, Philly just has the right to swap. According to the ESPN trade machine we have a $3.6M exception from trading Felton to Dallas and a $1.8M exception when we traded Outlaw to Philly. I'd be more than happy to trade the 2018 2nd along with one of our trade exceptions for one of these guys. Capela is the most interesting prospect and probably has the highest ceiling but there's significant bust potential with him; nevertheless, he's the one I'd try to target.
Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

When need a big and a quick pg that can shoot so Black and Cannon would be my choices but that's just me. However, I am sure they are not just giving players away w/o compensation and since the knicks have zero second rd picks until yr 2020 I doubt they will do any business together.

I would ultimately like Terrace Jones and Capela is an interesting

There is s trade to be made for Melo. Josh, Dwight and Harden are pretty good but you add melo and it could be very formidable. Best front court in the league. One of the best shooting guards and a solid pg.

might as well go all in. Melo should really look at that

I mean what's wrong with Houston going for Melo? You think them trading for Melo would make them worse?

Ariza, Jason Terry (expiring), kostas, Alexey and their 1st round draft pick for Melo sounds good enough to me.

No one is gonna gut their roster for him, which they'd have to do to accommodate his ridiculous contract. thats what makes the idea silly at best. then the pieces coming back are all trash, but maybe thats melo's worth now a days.

I been combing the league looking for ways to trade him. That's the best option for him. Losing ariza, old man terry, kostas and Alexey isn't exactly gutting their roster.

It's the best deal we can get. We're not getting a star player for Melo, but at this stage why would we care? We're about to get super cap space to sign someone else. This trade actually gives the Knicks even more space to play with.

I think they'd do it without the pick and we get out of Melo's contract

EnySpree you can't use any kind of logic with an optimistic aspect to it around here. God forbid you present an idea that the Knicks could do anything positive at all no matter how much sense it makes. Don't you know we can never get out of this hole and improve. There's nothing we can do. WE'RE DOOMED! DOOMED I TELL YOU!!!

I really like Canaan. This was my guy in the Hardaway Jr. draft...I'll take this guy off Morey's hands in a heartbeat. Great jumper and he can penetrate and either score it or set up others at the rim. He's got all the requisite PG skills plus a great scorer's mentality which is always welcome with me (I'll always maintain that the more guys that can put the ball in the hole with regularity, the better, even the PG). Is he the perfect PG? No, but he'd go a long way toward shoring up that position.

Happy holidays to all you guys and your families!

Zero people have said that. The people I suspect you're talking about have been very detailed about what we need to do, starting with getting rid of Melo's contract.
The least detailed ones are the people simply hoping we lose every game
