I spotted him like I spotted Jeremy Lin--playing against Uconn last year. He kind of went out of my mind until i saw him play 2 more times this year. He's nearly a 6-4 PG who has many characteristics that Stephon Curry has. Hes probably the most under the radar prospect in CBB. I added him and another player I really like Terry Rozier to my list of possible PGs we could look at later in rd 1.

i like rozier but hes TINY!

what are the measurements for tyler harvey?

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I hate draft threads ... unless we know where we are picking and who has declared, this is pointless ... what are the chances of GM's picking who we post?

kinda of miss the years that we did not have a pick

so here is what phil is thinking ....

Yeah it's fun to talk about how good Jose calderon has picked up the team or how Sam Dalembart is doing a really good job replacing Tyson. It's kind of stupid to look at potential players who could be Knicks. Makes a ton of sense. By the way--when is the last time you've seen a 6-4 PG shoot like this? Seems like that if we did run a triangle or even a form of a triangle a 6-4 PG who can shoot the 3 at a high volume 50% accuracy who appears to have some serious basketball IQ wouldnt be a guy who could help here. Can you name any drafted player with a quicker release and more accuracy than Harvey? His accuracy from 3 pt range exceeds what Steph Curry did at Davidson

Rozier's talent ceiling lies somewhere between Monta Ellis and Eric Bledsoe (without the muscles as aka BABY LEBRON)
And those comparisions are very good, Monta Ellis was a beast in GS when he was younger but was known as a loser/ball hoG
However, those teams just weren't that talented and adding Curry would never work together on DEFENSE

Not sure if he "fits" in the triangle and unless we add more draft picks, I think we must go for a BIG with our needs and strength of the draft
He was the first guard I liked outside of a BIG PG that Briggs has brought up last sesaon in Delon Wright
By far Rozier is much more talented though but Phil Jackson just doesn't seem to like SMALL G's in his system

And while we are busy fantasizing about our roster, we can add Tyler Durden too

Got to check out more Harvey games. I see more George Hill in Harvey's game than Steph Curry, but the kid looks like he can play.

This guy is a lefty Steph Curry--same size--same game. Look at video of Curry at Davidson and Harvey--they are very close. Both dominate the game from 28 feet which allows them to be able to get inside and either use the pass drive or floater. This guys 3 pt shot is the fastest in CBB yet he shoots 50% in high volume. Remember Steph Curry was projected a 2nd rounder--an undersized SG in his 2nd year and first half of his last year until a meteoric rise.

I think what you will see is Wright and Rozier moving into the lottery and out of any possible consideration for us unless we trade the top pick down for 3 1's. I think for our team IF it came to it---Harvey might be the guy. Again this is all early prognastication

Only we we can get all these guys you want is if we trade CA or trade down, assuming we win a TOP pick

My hope is using 40% of our cap space and our future 2018 pick can yield 2 more 1's this year IF needed or possibly just 1 additional and IF the right person falls to round 2 to buy a pick. I just want us to be as aggressive as possible because this is a unique opportunity to get two big men and a PG that we pick out and are under cost controlled conditions for 4 years. That keeps us flexible going 4 ward.

There are many reasons why I think we should trade CA

In return since we are under the cap, we could look to absorb other poor contracts that expire after 2016
Totally make use of our cap space and acquire as many draft picks possible, while we will focus on development
Sure, we do not own our pick next summer, but we do own the 2017 1st rounder

If we suck for 2 more years, continue to stock up on draft picks and future draft picks, and while changing the culture/building an identity during this time, we will have a lot of cap space by 2017 summer
And possibly another TOP 5 pick to start the summer with

If we trade CA and from this coming draft we somehow end up with

3 1st rounders in this draft
2 2nd rounders in this draft

2 draft picks in 2016 and have another TOP 5 draft pick in 2017 while we collect some cost efficient players, preserve cash space with the rise of the cap

By 2017 Some of our draft picks will be ready to contribute at a high level

If we do have OK4 and he develops to what Anthony Davis is right now in addition to another qualify PF/C and young core

Maybe Durant can play savior to NYK that CA was unable to do, in which could solidify a dynasty, not just a shot at one title...

3 1st rounders? How??

How are we getting a top 5 in 2017? That would mean that we really screwed up?

We get OK4 (30% at best), and he turns into A Davis (.001%)?

so here is what phil is thinking ....

By trading CA for 2 addition 1st rounders

1 being our own as we own right now

Look at all these teams with many draft picks in this draft and future drafts
Some of them are contenders already too, so they can only get better, making our chances of contending with just CA and an entire roster to to assemble that much slimmer

how the heck are we getting CA for 2 1st rounders? We probably would need to take back a bad contract just to get rid of him.
