this guy is having a horrible season, and they have a similar record to the knicks. He's shooting 38% fg, and has hit 8-48 from downtown, 65% FT, and almost 3 TO's a game. Are you kidding me!! his set to make 10 mil next season. He had his 1 (contract yr) good season..no thanks

surprised we're only getting the thread now for Lance.

I would say JR would have to go out in any deal for Lance - one knucklehead allowed.

Isn't he more of a SG?

I suspect he isn't a fit with Phil's philosphy, but these are the kinds of moves we're stuck with as ways to upgrade the team.

Stevie Francis anyone???

Good player - would help the basketball team for sure as he would take pressure off of Melo. I think he would want to be great in NY, so that is a plus.

As for off court - could he be any worse than JR? Probably but his contract is tradeable.

He is worth the gamble. Would be the only Knick player that could get to the basket.

Another shiny object. Let's bring in another talented, but uncoachable douche and set him loose in his hometown. What a disaster that would be.

I hear what you are saying. Forgetting his baggage, he is a 2-way player that rebounds, gets assists and scores.

His contract is not too bad and again, is trade-able. This year and next at $9M, then a TEAM OPTION for the summer that everyone is a FA. Basically he is cap friendly for the summer of 16-17.

In the end, he will NOT come to NY, so why bother talking about it.

That's the problem though. He sounds good, but this franchise has lacked standards for so long that any and every kind of deal could be rationalized and was and we ended up continually assembling ill-fitting rosters, often with boneheads or malcontents. If the standard is going to be about character, then you have to stick to that and not bring in people who are not suitable. Rationalizations about talent lead to teams where people don't gel, get along or play team ball and then the talent factor is squandered anyway. It's a hamster wheel. Bringing in Lance would be epically hamsterish.

That was fast. Hornets already to move on. Be careful what you wish for when it comes to Lance Stephenson.

Lance hasn'the been doing much scoring this season. Bringing him in would be like consolidating all the weaknesses of Shump and Jr. into one person. I'd rather give those minutes to THJ.

I'd rather try and go after KVG, he is a good defender and we could use one

i would absolutely give him a shot. at the end of the day, he's a better 2 way player than any of our guards and he knows how to blow into lebron's ear lol
Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

Indiana Pacers owner Herb Simon said he would personally be fine with bringing back Lance Stephenson in a trade, however the judgment would be up to the front office.

“I’d be OK with it but it’s not up to me. Larry (Bird) has to decide if he fits,” Simon told The Star

What a shame if he goes back to Indiana. Phil probably doesn't want him or surely he could get him from the best player he ever coached?

You know what? Ive changed my stance on this. I think the Knicks should try to pry Stephenson away from CHA. What the hell. We need some entertainment and Lance going apeshyte would certainly qualify. Not to mention him going wild in his hometown. His contract is cap friendly enough where he is literally always going to be tradeable. What the hell roll the dice. Maybe Lance will scare Melo into passing more.

And hey, if he does put it all together he'll be our best player. By far. Ive alway railed against the Knicks acquiring knucklehead projects and praying they put it all together here but in this case there is enough of an escape hatch (very reasonable contract) to roll the dice.
