who has the brighter future?

I think that they are both way overrated (shump less since he has already crashed).

THJ is streaky and Shump rarely has any streaks.

Shump plays very solid defense while THJ was trained by Amare.

THJ maybe the worst rebounding guard that I have ever seen. In order to get so few rebounds you would need to put on handcuffs and a blind fold and also party with JR the night before.

We can still dream about THJ but our dreams will probably turn into a nightmare like the rest of them.

Btw, Barkley thinks that THJ will be great. He does not stop saying that even if the conversation is about cows.

Kenny: "hey chuck, I bought two cows yesterday"
Chuck: "thas great kenn-eh ... that tim har-away jew-yor zzz-gonna be a great player"

For Shump, the future is NOW!

Be interesting to see if we retain THJ. Does a brighter future always implye leaving the Knicks?

Either JR or THJ will be traded. The one who makes the cut will be will be 5th man for years to come. Probably THJ

The real question is who is the Knicks Most Valuable Player and the answer is Iman Shumpert

Question doesn't work for me, because Shump is year 4 and Tim is year 2. Shump needs to put it together this season. Tim is being given the message his game is full of holes and needs to work on it to even be considered more than a prospect at this point.

Right now, Shump is a bigger factor regardless of their futures, but I wouldn't guess Tim cannot contribute more this season.

Give THJR the same carte blanche as Shump

Then come back and ask this question

Fans were slopping THJR nuts up back then

And if you Flip-Flop what they've done up

To this point no way opinions remain what they currently are

There isn't a more fickle group of fans anywhere in the world

the question was simple ... who has a brighter future (long term)? Who will have the better career? etc ...

Eye test and the quotes to back this up

"Oh No We Can't Trade THJR for Kyle Lowry

They Can Have Felton and Shump but not THJR..."

I say Shump because although his offensive game is about as good as Amare's defense and rebounding he does do positive things on the court whether he is scoring or not. THjr literally needs to hit every shot to be a + player. He's so bad in every other facet it cracks me up how folks gush over him.

I see absolutely no difference between Klay Thompson and THJ. They both have similar defense and they both can shoot only difference one is getting an opportunity to play regular minutes from the beginning.

Shump is doing well but he is very moody the real Shump who is he? Is he the guy who threw a hissy fit last year, or this current version going forward.

I agree with this.

Shump looks like he is developing brains. This will not help him finish at the rim or consistently hit his shot, but he has had a really calming effect on the team on both ends.

And had we traded him, we'd be discussing is

THJR better than J.R. Smith

wish we traded him years ago (peak value) ... though maybe mda or woody ends up keeping their job.

Right, and along with the idea of keeping Pringles and/or Woody, in that regime, we would have gotten back a Rudy Gay/Jamal Crawford type contract and sent along a few more draft picks with Shump and his wobbly knees at the time.

I'll take Phil and the way trades work out now, for 500 Alex.
