He's a smart kid and a team oriented player. He's the kind of kid that should play better in the NBA as he spreads his wings more. He doesn't try to do too much and sticks to what he's great at as opposed to forcing things. Yes cole will have a break out year this kid is a big upgrade to Tyson over rated chandler.. He's a rebounding, shot blocking machine, great passer, high bball iq, cole is the best center on the roster hands down. He'll be the talk of the town! Thjr is a all star in the making nuf said! Early was the best pick up in the trade .. He can really shoot and defend Clyde called him b king the other day!!! The Greek should stay he's a great defender and elevates everyone's defense when he's on the floor! You can't teach that Knicks are on the up and up |

![]() Larking looks like an NBA PG to me. He can change the pace of the game. Question is how does his jumper look? Is he gonna consistent or inconsistent? I see some Mike Bibby in him.
Chandler trade was really an impressive trade. Overnight we added 3 intriguing youngsters to the roster. Question is who will develop, who's a role player and who's a trade chip? |

![]() I like Larkin, but is he better than Pablo? I haven't seen much in the summer league games that makes him stand out, other than he's shorter than advertised. He's not 5'11 And that may be a problem because teams will go at him every time. Same with Pablo and Calderon, because they are not known for defense. Ii looks like our weakness is the same as last year....PG and Center....

Ii looks like our weakness is the same as last year....PG and Center.... Larkin is in fact measured to be 5-10.25 without shoes and 5-11.5 in shoes. They had no reason to lie at the combine so despite how he may look to you, that is his exact measurement. He's legitimately fast and legitimately had a 44" vert. He's clearly more talented than Pablo physically. Larkin gets steals and he's fast on the break. He's just not a tall, physical or long PG. This is why they project him as a backup PG. PG and Center are not going to be weaknesses this year. You seem to have no concept of how the Triangle works if you think PG is gonna be a problem. There are very few good defensive PG's and thank goodness the triangle isn't PG dependent. You can play with a guard like Shump if you need defense. The PG doesn't really do much in the offense in terms of handling the ball. We may not be world beaters at Center but we have bigs that should be able to hand in there. We just don't have anyone special, which is only going to be addressed at the earliest at the trade deadline most likely. |

Hopefully we get rid of JR soon and let the kids play. I really want to see NY basketball to develop an identity instead of looking like a ragtag bunch of overpaid misfits we have been for the last decade or so. If Melo buys in and tries to facilitate for these guys and make them better he can reap the benefits in a year or two. HE will still get his shots in the triangle, but he needs to ficus on letting the kids play and learn instead of trying to outscore Durant for individual scoring titles. Dude veteran teams don't play rookies unless they earned it, or a starter gets injured. Jr is not garbage, woodson is garbage. No ones sitting through growing pains unless they absolutely have to. You got couple of solid rookies, let them develop in practice, not in no game. ES

You were prob on the heat bandwagon why don't you go root for the cavs and be really disappointed... I'm excited we fixed a lot of holes on this roster... If you hate everyone on this team then get the hell off this site and find a cavs or nets forum to bitch and be a Debbie downer |

Does that mean that I am dumb enough to call THJ the next reggie miller and Cole a 12/12 guy? reign in your silly expectations and hope that some of our kids can be good "rotation" players. so here is what phil is thinking ....

![]() Lol I'm not the one who thinks bird man is a excellent team
Player lol that's like saying chandler is a great team player... Thjr can stroke it like Reggie his release reminds me of Reggie.. He had a very similar rookie year to Reggie .. Reggie wasn't a good defender or rebounder till later in his career .. Just like thjr.. I'm not saying his career is going to be like Reggie's but I wouldn't be shocked if it did.. Thjr is going to be our 6 th man this year he'll average Reggie like numbers for his second year 16+ points 3 Rebs-2-3 assists ... But I don't know too much I've just been watching and playing bball since 1983 ... Also cole Aldrich is the man I've been following this kid since his days in Kansas .. Big man take time to develop he was the best rebounding shot blocking defensive center in college.. It's his time to shine .. He averaged a double double when he got real playing time last year and it seems to have carried over into summer league... But again I don't know anything I've only been watching bball since 1983.. I can tell you thjr will be on a few all star teams mark my words |

And btw, I am the biggest Cole supporter and ranted all last season about him not being used by our bonehead coach. I hated Tyson more than anyone (though it was due to attitude and how much he costed us). How is your boy Jeremy Tyler (who I was never high on)? Supe-ah-stah? not so much. Lol. Glad that Reggie is on our side this time. Edit: And who does not love JR? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaT DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE! so here is what phil is thinking ....
