Carmelo easily could have left and gone to a much better team, but chose to stay a Knick. It was not completely about money as the Bulls and Lakers offered him very hefty contracts as well. The Knicks were in a position to offer him more and they did. But he clearly wants to play for the Knicks and deserves credit and respect from Knicks fans for that decision.

Chris Bosh just signed a $118M deal for crying out loud.

I just think it would have been very easy for him to go to the Bulls and say "screw it" to Phil and Fisher's rebuilding attempt. He wants a championship. Instead, he decided to buy in and stick it out in NY, knowing full well we will not compete next year for a title.

Sorry but i seriously doubt Melo would have gone to Chicago simply because they could only offer about half what we could offer. If you want to give hima little props fine but just dont be fooled into thinking he was gonna give a major discount. Im sure he wants to win but he wants his money just as more

If we did not hire Phil I bet Melo would have left.

Tim Duncan is at the end of his rope. Melo is in his Prime. There's a difference there. As I already said, The LeBron/Wade/Bosh thing was BS and to be honest, I think they all are kind of glad it's over with the paycuts and as you can see, Bosh was not so quick to give the Heat another discount, instead made them severely overpay.

Hey you are absolutey right. I mean those guys have multiple rings/mvps but that doenst hold a candle to melos...first rounds exits. Look i respect you are a big melo fans which is fine but just be honest he took the most money, nothing wrong with that

Nowhere did I say Melo's resume stacked up with theirs. I can just admit we should be thanking Melo for staying and buying in to Phil's plan. If he did not, we'd be laughingstocks next season, and it would make the rebuilding job harder. Instead, all us fans do is bash him because he took the contract we offered, which included a paycut.
