He's hit over 60+% of his shots in the post exactly once in his career and that was 5 years ago; he's never hit his post shots at an above average rate. He's averaged 18+ppg only twice and he shot 44% and 43% from the field those years. He's also never averaged 7rpg and hasn't even averaged 6rpg in 5 years. Whats the 1.5, blocks? I'm guessing blocks. He's averaged almost 1.5 blocks once in his career, 5 years ago; he has only averaged over 1bpg one other time in his career.Guys, seriously, this guy sucks. He doesn't belong on a basketball court unless that court is at a YMCA. We were 15-27 when he played and 22-18 when he didn't. If you extrapolate the record with him in the lineup to a full season we win 29 games and tie for 11 with Detroit. If you extrapolate the record with him out of the lineup we finish with 45 wins and 5 behind Chicago.
Agree 100%. Bargs had a negative win share last season didn't he? He absolutely sucks and the Knicks would be better off simply cutting him and giving his minutes to someone, anyone else.
Its hard to argue with the facts, but there was more going on when he was playing vs. out hurt. I think on paper Bargs should be better than he is- that is why so many hold out hope.
I was optimistic last year. I think when he played, he was alongside Chandler - that was simply a bad pairing. He played & we played better when he was the 5.
If he could stay healthy, I'd be happy to roll with him at the 5, with Stat at the 4.
But I don't see him healthy for a full year - we shouldn't count on it. And he's more likely to contribute to losses than wins- which is ok if we are trying to win the lottery.
