Cleanthony Early, Thanasis, Torre Moury, Jeremy Tyler, Tim Jr, Shane Larkin......add Shump if we keep him....Wayne Ellington is 26, JR and Shannon Brown are still 28....

Knicks all of a sudden have a lot of good young prospects in the fold.

People want the knicks to blow it up and start fresh, but 9 out of a possible 15 players are in their 20's....6 guys have 0-2 years experience.

So technically, we have already blown up the team....

We have a good mix of vets if you talk about Dalembert, Calderon, Amare, Pablo, Bargnani and Odom....Melo could actually stay of go if he wants....we have cap space coming to us in 2015....

We are in a great place either way...Can you count suckers?

love that we are using the draft, but I disagree. When we have an all star caliber prospect let me know. I will be happy if one of these guys are as good as the Mayor or Gallo.

Hardaway Jr, Shump, Smith, Ellington all play the same position and we need more help in the front court. Amare isn't reliable, Bargs is horrible, Tyler is unproven.

We need to package 2 of these G/F for a PF/C.

Who will be available in 2015? Love, Lebron etc will be out of the picture

nobody actually...Marc Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge....aka doo doo....but maybe its smoke screen to try and persuade Durant to make the move.

either way, having the cap space allows for the team to always be in a healthy place to improve the team.

Forget 2015 free agency, Love will be traded before then, Lebron and Aldridge will resign before then.

What we should be doing is flipping Bargs and Amare for Eric Gordan and David Lee. 2 players that could probably get dumped for cap space yet are productive and end in time for 2016.

shannon brown is a journey man talent.... JR smith is a bum... ellington is barely a rotation player.. shump is a mess right now... the other guys are all border line NBA talents at best until proven otherwise...

let these guys play first.. prove they are nba rotation players and then we can talk about prospects.. just because you pick up a young player doesn't mean they are prospects, the future, or real NBA talent..

we are in the process of blowing things up.. that is a good start.. but honestly, I doubt 70% of these guys will be on our roster in a couple of years when it is all said and done..

next year we have our own first round pick, we will pick up some more young talent hopefully and keep adding.. what will be the talk then? will those guys be the future and this years guys be a thing of the past?

we have to keep in mind, everything that is going on now is just a start.. we don't all of a sudden have a great set of prospects by picking up some second rounders and D-league players... let them prove they belong in a rotation and then we go from there..

OH GEEZ!!! Can we just take a chill on the negativity? We can't build Rome in a day. It's OK to feel good about the POTENTIAL of these prospects. After all the crap we've endured it's nice to see some interesting young players we can watch and see who develops. There's nothing wrong with being hopeful about this change in direction. ENJOY IT GUYS!!! Don't let anyone kill your vibe if you're feeling better about things.

I was going to respond to Tkf but I just ignored it. That's just him jumping in ruining yet another thread with his bull****.

It's like guys got to come in and be linsanity for him to consider someone to be good. It's like getting a zit on your nose before picture day with this guy

Don't let tkf steak your joy bro. Nobody knows what to expect from these young guys especially the ones who haven't played an nba game yet. The potential is there. If these dudes can put so much faith in a bum like Shump then they can have faith with the rest

No disrespect to tkf but I got my own opinions. I do actually agree I can see most of these guys won't be around in a couple years or be end of the bench guys. I like Tyler. He actually looks like he could be a quality Nba starter. Hardaway could be a Danny Greem which is a nice rotation player. And I'm giving Shump one more year to show something. I still think he has a decent ceiling. Maybe Larkin could be a Jerryd Bayless who's not a bad 6th man but that might even be reaching. I'm not crazy about our rooks. I don't see the makings of a winning roster or even remotely close to it but I'm interested to see what Fish and Phil make out of it. Sorry to ruin your positive vibe but that's my opinion.

I'm just glad there all going to be giving coaching in how to REALLY play team BB. From day one they'll be learning how to have ball and player movement and spacing. They'll be taught to give 100% effort on D. It's just something to feel good about. A few days ago we didn't have any of this positive vibe going. All of a sudden we have a bunch of interesting young talent to watch develop. I'm ecstatic about that. It's the same way I feel about the job Idzik is doing with the Jets. They've got a boatload of young talent and good cap management. Now the Knicks will be able to go in that direction too if Melo leaves.

Fair assessment that I can respect. I agree and I have some blind faith in Cleanathony but i think we can agree we at least have seeds in the dirt. The ball is at least rolling to improve the health if this franchise

I'm curious what our lineup is going to look like. I really want to see Tyler get big minutes. If he can get some proper coaching he can be a great defender. I think he's our best yoot out of them all. I'm hoping for a big coaching impact on this roster and season.

I think Fish seems like a bright young mind which puts us in the right direction to begin with. We've been lacking fundamentally for so long and we've been outcoached nearly every season for quite some time. I'm so happy they purged the coaching staff. Guys like Woody and MDA are assistant level guys who are specialty coaches that can't handle all the responsibilities of head coach. And all their lackies(particularly Woody's) could never make up for their shortcomings. That alone gives us a better shot at succeeding. I just think the cupboard is too bare offensively to be honest. There's not enough guys who can get in the lane and collapse defenses or players who can create their own shot. This roster needs to make major defensive strides immediately to compete. And that's very possible but not an easy task either.

Totally disagree about us not having players that can get in the Lane and Collapse a defense. The offense we'll be playing will rely less on individual breakdown skills and more on movement, spacing and passing. So you'll see less dribbling and more cutting and passing, leading to open shots, slashes and post ups. This should hide any lack of individual creators to a certain degree.
