1. Here comes the savior
2. We can take Melo or leave him no big deal.Says Phil
3. Steve Kerr is the coach for New York. Because Phil is the Zen Master.
Well Phil have met with Melo 2 times and Melo still walked. I said before Phil must be carefull what he says. He must remember he won those rings with the best players in basketball. Now I heard we were gonna go get Kevin Love,Rajon Rondo, Kyle Irving, Lebron James,Kevin Durant, Westbrooks and by the way how many playoff games in 5 or 6 years have Kevin Love played in? NONE as I can remember. Yet we are willing to let Melo walk for nothing assuming that next year the stars will come to the New York Knicks. Well it hasn't happened in 40 years so why now?? Because of Phil Jackson? I doubt it. His best recruiter is Melo. Melo is a star that can draw some better players. You don't think so ?? OK so lets not try to get our star back and lets see what we get next season. And by the way playing in San Antonio and living in San Antonio is much different than Playing and living in New York. It's a known fact that when so called good players come to NY their playing ability seem to drop.they can't handle the pressure. The city never sleep. Go ahead Phil Jackson let Melo walk and let's see whats up your sleeves for next season because the guys on this forum knows for a fact that the stars are coming here because of Phil Jackson. Well I would put my money on the bird at hand because there is no guarantee that whats in the bush will come to New York. What happened to Steve Kerr? One thing for sure if Phil sees no light at the end of the tunnel in 3 years he will quit to protect his rep. Here he tells Melo to take less while he fleeces Dolan for 60 million. Personally I don't think he is up to the task. I hope that I am wrong.
Y do you think Phil is just letting Melo walk? He clearly has been trying to convince Melo to stay, He tried to convince him to opt in and go into free agency next yr when we have cap space. Him talking about Melo taking less was just an honest assessment on trying to have the extra cash to build a championship team.
Him saying that we move with or without is also a way of selling Carmelo that the Knicks are going places and he should jump aboard. Its a tactic that I have often seen used.
If Melo leaves and we don't attract any stars then we just got to build our own.
