Thanks to a Nalod..thought this might deserve its own thread

Via Isola this morning......
The Heat, Rockets and Lakers are also interested in acquiring Anthony. There are unconfirmed reports of the Cleveland Cavaliers being willing to trade the No. 1 overall pick in a sign-and- trade for Anthony. However, Anthony would only consider Cleveland if the Cavs were able to sign LeBron James. That scenario seems remote. James has until the end of the week to notify the Heat of his plans to either opt out or opt in to his current contract.

That's one combination I don't want to see happening. Unless it's in NY and the price is right. It's odd that Melo had no interest other than Lebron being there. Kyrie is a damn good player. And the only two times Melo got past the first round of playoffs was with HOF PGs on the roster (Billups and Kidd). Even if they don't get Lebron they could get another superstar with their cap space.

Please tell me what can phil do to make this happen? Phil would not be in control of anything really.

Apparently, Lebron's wife posted something on Instagram insinuating that Lebron may be leaning toward going back to Ohio. Something about going home, let the count down begin. Media may be reading too much into this though. Maybe she's just talking about a summer trip back to Akron

Kyrie would be one of the main reasons why Lebron would consider going back. Can't see Cleve trading a young, allstar like Kyrie, if it hopes to bring Lebron back home.

Yup, in this instance LeBron would have to be the catalyst in any deal.

We would probably get Bennett before Kyrie.

Why trade a very valuable asset when you can just sign outright?

Who knows...Its all speculation....Was in the car when the story broke but didn't hear the entire report. Akron may not sound like much to you and me, but its where Lebron and his wife were born and raised, no?

Oh Hells yeah. I would take Jack to if it meant dumping Felton in the deal

Melo/Shumpert/Felton for Varejao/Jack/Bennett/Waiters and their 1st rd pick

I think Jack would be great in NY.

Maybe Miami gets Kyrie or the 1st. They'd have to get something. Acl for Lebron in a sign & trade

This is the kind of deal Denver was trying to get but didn't when Melo forced his way here. Great combination of young players, expiring contract and a 1st overall pick. If this happens, I will personally thank Melo, but to bad this is a serious long shot. Only Lebron and Melo can get this done, but I think these two want to play together badly and heading back to Cleveland would be a great story for LBJ and the NBA in general

I just doubt we get either Kyrie or the 1st.

Either Kyrie stays in Cleveland with he big 3 or Miami gets the 1st and we are left with the scraps and maybe one of Cleveland's late round or future picks

Cleveland sure has the young pieces the Knicks need along with the 1st or Kyrie.

Varejao who would help make the money work and would be great in the triangle. Tough/rugged and still relatively young

Bennett potential starting SF/PF

JARRETT Jack perfect fit for the triangle

Dion Waiters maybe...

Spencer hawes perfect for triangle!

Tristian Thompson

Tyler Zeller

This would be his biggest contribution to the Knicks. If he loves NY as much as he says he does, maybe he'll try to get Cleveland to do this deal even without Lebron!

Even if this is a pipe dream Phil should be looking at adding some of these Cleveland players. Some picture perfect triangle fits like Jack & Hawes
