Look at the playoff stats... Harden is interesting and he's been compared to Melo around here. Certainly both are scorers and that is their role. Huge drop in his shooting %s with Houston. Is this the same player? "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

![]() fishmike wrote:http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardeja01.html His long regular season was pretty good. And, he was the number one option. Perhaps their playoff style needs to be tweaked and they should get a real PG. so here is what phil is thinking ....

![]() mreinman wrote:fishmike wrote:http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardeja01.html he and westbrook need to tighten up their games. they have another season or two to do that before they are overpaid like melo is overpaid. knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

![]() dk7th wrote:mreinman wrote:fishmike wrote:http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardeja01.html Harden is super efficient in the regular season and has failed the last 2 playoffs with no PG (and shady shot selection) Westbrook has been spotty during the regular season. He is also the PG so it would be nice if he was less of a chucker. And, he is a bad 3 point shooter. Westbrook is the better defender by a lot. Good chance westbrook gets traded this offseason and I hope that its not to us. so here is what phil is thinking ....

![]() fishmike wrote:http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardeja01.html Be careful comparing Harden and Melo on this site. Harden is a winner because he played in the finals. Melo is a loser because he didn't play in the finals. Doesn't matter that Harden played with Durant ( a player that is 2x better than anyone Melo has ever played with here or in Colorado) and Westbrook is also arguably better than anyone Melo played with. Don't bother presenting any circumstantial evidence because it will be ignored. Bottom line, Harden + Finals = Better than Melo...Deal with it |

Thats why they traded for him and gave him a huge extension. When this contract is up he will be eligible for Melo-money.mreinman wrote:Bonn1997 wrote:mreinman wrote:fishmike wrote:http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardeja01.html But I dont really care about money. ![]() Uptown wrote:fishmike wrote:http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardeja01.html I would prefer harden. A lot younger and not much of a dropoff. He has a lot of years on Melo to fix the kinks in his game. Don't know why Michael was brought back unless they are trading harden and makin Dwight the focus |

They ran into a pretty good blazers team.. I think Mchale waited way too long to adjust to Aldridge and let him get off big in the first two games, and that killed them.. they are young, this was year one.... they have the assets to add the pieces they need...
