As the playoffs are about to begin, who does everyone have to win it all?
Who do you have as biggest upset in the playoffs?

Personally, I have been and still am an A.B.M. (Anyone But Miami) guy since LeDouche took his talents took South Beach. I loved the way San Antonio played tough in the playoffs last year, love that they are a class organization that continues to maximize all their assets, and managed to get younger guys to step up just as the "big-3" are slowing down. Maybe not a big reach, but I'm routing for them.

As for biggest upset, maybe not a shocker, but I could easily see Brooklyn take out Toronto in the first round. They've been a much better team than their record since the All-Star break.
And nothing like a little success in BK to focus the Knicks minds next year, and hopefully keep lil' Jimmy to his promise that he'll keep out and let basketball minds run the show.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm actually rooting for the Nyets. Really developed a great respect for Jason Kidd and it will push the Knicks to make smarter basketball decisions. Nyets are the 3rd fav to come out of the East behind Miami and Indy IMO

I also think Nets going far is a good thing to keep the Knicks honest and I like seeing my friends and neighbors happy! It will be good for the borough.

Seeing the Nets playing right now makes me want to set my head on fire. I do not want them advancing.

I want to see the nets lose quickly. I'd rather the heat win than the pacers, but hopefully neither!

Probably the Spurs deserve to win. Can't really say I'm that excited at the prospect of any team winning.

Whats with all this Nyets love!!! How can a Knick fan root for the Nyets?! Fluck the Nyets. Do not want them to advance out of the first round, although they got the perfect opponent in the Craptors....

Not sure if the Heat have enough in the tank to win it again. Wade continues to slip, and Bosh for some reason has been relegated to a 6'9 tree point shooter. If the Heat are going to win another one, Bosh has to become a legit second option. He needs touches inside the three point line. Ultimately, I think the Spurs avenge last yrs defeat and wins the 'chip this year.....

It's bandwagoning- there was none of this Nets support talk when the Nets were looking awful at the start of the season.

I think the jilted Knick fans (the usual suspects on this site who jump in every thread to sh!t all over this team especially since Melo arrived) are pulling for the Nyets just stick it to the Knicks ...and its fans...

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Give me a break. If arbitrary tribalism based on the allegiances to multimillion dollar corporations gets you off, so be it.

A NY team still in the dance is good for NYers, economically at the very least. I'm a Mets fan, and I feel this way even about the Yankees sometimes. You say bandwagon, I say magnanimous.

Props for what? This team has been bad to mediocre for a decade now (with the exception of last season). Every fringe to die hard fan knows this roster is uneven and is not very talented. So, on a logical level, predicting that this team will finish with with an average to slightly below average record is easy.

The problem that you and some others have is that you cannot apply logic to being a FANatic. Their is nothing logical about being a Fan. Fans hope, root, pray for their teams to do the impossible (whihc does happen on rare occasions). It was a beautiful scene in Toronto yesterday, a packed house of fans hoping and rooting for their favorite team to win. But if they were using logic, the place should be 3/4's empty because logic says that Nyets are better and logic says there is no way Rapts will advance....

So, you want props for stating the obvious...Here you go....

Nothing to do with corporations, its all about being a true blue die hard fan that still believes in rivalries, etc. I can give two sh!ts about what 'said' team does for the economy....So go ahead and root for the Nyets while they talk about the "takeover of the city' is underway'. Pierce, Johnson and Williams all talked major sh!t about the Knicks and trying to take Knick fans. With post like yours, I guess they are succeeding. I'm Jets, Yanks, and Knicks all day and night. Fluck the Giants, Fluck the Mets, and double Fluck the Nyets.....

So it's beautiful to see fans root on their team in Canada, but in Brooklyn it's a travesty?

no need to bother reducing logic to the level of fanaticism or equate the two-- although i understand the temptation to do so, since it has a faint precedent in greek culture and its revival with friedrich nietzsche... i mean the tension between the apollonian/rational and the dionysian/irrational.

interesting that you bring up fans in toronto. if we are to use your "logic" then the higher seed is actually the better team and they have every reason to feel confident... right?

as i have stated numerous times in the past, the knicks, although the second seed last year, were decidedly thumped a bunch as though they were closer to a 6th or 7th seed, first by a rondo-less celtic squad and then indiana. were you convinced they were a second seed? pretty sure you did. achieving a seed is not necessarily an indication of playoff success, as we saw last year with our heroic band of brothers.

bottom line possessing predictive power is an indication of knowledge. and charitable and gracious people usually acknowledge that when they see it in others. you diagram didn't turn anyone's crank... try again.

So, who you got?
