Im just sitting thinking of all the coaches and GM's that he has hired since taking over

Layden- was a respectable guy who had great succes with the UTAH JAZZ
Chaney- A respectable assistant to JVG who's philosphy was similar to jvg
Lenny Who still holds the record for most wins by a head coach
Thomas- No one can argue that Thomas has a eye for talent better than most scouts in all of sports
Larry - Championship coach on the college and pro level, and had the task of turning A I into a MVP
Walsh- Respectable guy who had all the experience in the world to turn this franchise around
MDA- Who also turn nash into a 2x MVP and brought an exciting style of basketball to the NBA
Grunwald- I don't know much about him, but he did find LIN, and he manage to get JR to sign on for peanuts and build a nice vet squad

With all these respectable hires, how in the world did he managed to make them all look completely incompetent?

Bonn, you said it well today that "dolan brings the worst out of people".....

MSG is toxic. Too many good people have come thru the door and leave with reputations tainted but bank account enhanced.

Layden is the assistant GM in San Antonio. Even he somehow managed to overcome.

Dolan does what you want any owner to do, spend his money...In that sense I have no problems with Dolan..Dolan also gives you a 4 year window which I have no problem with either...Not everyone is made for NY..It's a tough place to work and play..I can point out many starphuck baseball players that came to this city and absolutely stink...I can't blame Dolan for that...

make a list of people he gave 4 year windows to. this oughta be good.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

And how does one go about sounding like they are defending a former Jet coach without being up his name?? Or even mentioning the Jets whom I don't root for??

That was actually funny I laughed out loud.

I have never really heard anyone defend Dolan before. Honestly was not sure if you were defending him or just attempting to make a point.

I guess everybody deserves to get defended, that's why we have william kunslers.

Oh, I was defending Dolan...I like Dolan...Dude spends his cash trying to bring talent here to please me...There isn't anyone Dolan won't spend every penny to get...I can't be mad at that...He paid Phil 12 mil per just because...If it doesn't work out, people will flip and blame Dolan...I'll try to stay on course...

Kind of like the pre Stick Michaels yankees?

It was hard to defend George back then as well even though he spent his balls off. He could not keep his hands off ... until he had no choice. then he was a darling later when he came back and they were winning (without his meddling).

Dolan's meddling hurt the team for many years. But he will never be the darling that George was because he has such an awkward personality (not his fault - just genetic I guess).

Like the guy though? Its not all about spending money. If he spends 120 million a year on 12 Eddie Gaedel's that does/should not make him likable. Not that he did not try, he was awful at it and a control freak.

I defend Doland and George...George won a Chip, he brought in Reggie before things went bad..That's cool with me...It is about spending money...Also, If I'm an owner and I see you failing, I will intervene...Donnie was failing miserably...I good with his intervention...Donnie said he wanted DWill instead of Melo..DWill, Amare and MDA today, what a lovely thought....

Okay. Like I said, there is nothing wrong with defending someone that everyone detests. Someone's gotta stick up for the underdogs.

I kind of got mad at numerous dumb moves like Jim Deshaies for Joe Niekro. But as you said, the guy certainly tried even though he was awful at it.

And, as long as its not your money. I am sure you would hate your portfolio manager if he made awful trades but he gave it is all.

Heck, Donnie signed Amare - you can't get dumber than that.

Because most here loved Donnie then MDA and now love Phil...When things turn it will be Dolan's fault...Not trying to have MDA or Donnie own up to their own short comingsand blaming Dolan for everything is shortsighted...

so those people are biased too. you are at one end and they are at the other both blindly vying to be right.

Well ... At least you are anti Phil which is different.

Were you pro Isiah? Cause that would just be plain cool!

Too be honest, I loved OJ and hoped he was acquitted. Hated the prosecutors, Darden and Marcia Clark for what they were doing to him. I look back now and I feel kinda stupid.

No, No No...I like Phil...I want Phil to be GM...I just don't want him to hire someone he can control with no experience..I want him to hire an experience coach and build it in their vision...But will still support him..Just not digging the ego thing...And if it doesn't work I will blame him and not Dolan...
