It said a "source close to the team". How could the team know that? Would be better if it was a source close to Phil
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Read an article on ESPN that said that source told Stephen A....then I cried a little inside.

Honestly I never liked Phil. But just seeing that they know they need to change SOMETHING gives me the warm and fuzzies.

Not more painful that the past decade or so of Knicks basketball.

10-4. Every game I missed I viewed as a reprieve.

So the Knicks didn't want to give the keys to Riley back in the day but now they are going after the Zen master who has zero front office experience. I think he will be a good addition and add some much needed credibility to the organization but what exactly would he be in charge of?

Honestly, as long as the decision making process is _out_ of Dolan's hands and into the hands of someone who actually knows the game, I'm ecstatic. If this story is actually true then it has to be that Jackson feels like he has to come full circle and bring the Knicks to the championship which is where he started as a player, right? I mean, how does he top his career of 10+ rings? What's the only basketball related job that could possibly be the cherry on top of that resume? Turing his OG team from the laughingstock of basketball to a chip, that's how. He's be a god if he did it, that's for sure.

I mean, that _has_ to be the motivation, right? Who in their right mind would come here and risk their legacy? Usually, it's the dollar signs that lure people to Dolan's crew. Jax actually has a legacy that is pretty much as untarnished as any legacy can be.

But I'm not believing this until I see a press conference. Even then, I'll suspect it's a staged ruse like that phony moon landing movie.

In fairness Riley was before Jimmy, and Riley left because he felt the team was on the decline after the 1995 season.

It would be really funny if Phil gets the Pres of Basketball Operations/GM then hires JVG as his coach.

See what a few fruity drinks will do to some. SMH

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Phil Jackson has been a un paid consultant for the Pistons and look at them. I'm not sure Phil can be as good as GM as he was a coach.

You get what you pay for, I guess lol Who knows how much influence Phil has over there. Joe Dumars has a history of bad free agent signings that predates Phil.

Not the best drafter either. Pretty hard to blow the 2003 draft with the second pick
