I personally would allow woodson to coach my 5 yr old son, I think he is the worse coach the knicks ever hired..

When ask if he plans to continue to play felton, “I feel for Raymond,’’ Woodson said. “Only he knows what’s going on in his heart and mind in how he’s feeling. I don’t wish that on anybody. My job as coach is to shelter him, path him and try to keep him up. He says basketball is his only out. That says a lot. He’s got to somewhat put this situation behind him. It’s not going to go away. [But] he’s got to show it on the basketball court.’’ why don't you just give a bottle of warm milk and burp him..

There's no way MDA starts felton or JR.. do you remember Woodsons 1st words after becoming the head coach "there will be accountabilty" the one statement that so full of shh it truly isn't funny..what coach would continue to play a player that has that much drama off the court, let alone start him and his shooting 21%.

MDA would rather play 7 guys to the groung as oppose to playing players that don't share the ball or simply can't shoot worth a lick..

The only person woods cares about is melo, who has had the best #s in his career since woodson became the head coach..

it amazes me that you guys are so down on mda when he was brought in to go through 4 yrs of rebuilding..so like your basing everything he's done here as far as the 28 players traded during his tenure

It was not his brain. It was mostly his ego and stubbornness that was annoying.

That really is a tough one. Neither has shown they can get a team to play defense consistently. One can't adapt his offense to the available talent, while the other doesn't want to even bother coaching offense. One is completely socially inept, can't confront players, and constantly throws them under the bus, the other wants to play daddy, coddles the worst ones, and holds no one accountable. Wow, they really can't be more opposite, but at the same time, equally unappealing.

Mda cuts if you couldn't play you wouldn't play. And he tried to coach who he had. He ran his system but at least he had fits playing it even if it didn't work with this personnel. He even had Jared anchoring the defense. He kept trying and guys executed.

I'll take Woodson in a heart beat...MDA is a system dependent coach..And a very specific system at that...If he doesn't have the type of players to fit his system then he is lost...Your system is flawed if u can't use DHow or Gasol..The PG has to be the most important piece...There are too many teams winning rings without a great PG for me to endorse this system...

Well he wasn't supposed to go through 28 players. He had issues with guys and they had to be moved. He also didn't develop guys and they had to be included in trades. Also, Walsh had a three year deal so I don't think it was supposed to be a 4 year rebuild. The plan was two years no?

Depends on the roster.

MDA clearly had trouble getting through to Melo, and some other talents. He also had trouble with guys who didn't get his system.

Woodson did better- but doesn't really have a system. So...

Mad is an actual coach, woody is just dead weight. No way can you call woody a coach. You can call mad a bad coach but still a coach.

I liked despite his ****ty handling of Marbury and kinda off communication style. Linsanity was fun and a vindication of his abilities with the right personnel, with guys he trusts who are going to overachieve in his system. But he's in the pile with the other Knicks coaches who quit on us. Give it to Woodson, they are going to have to fire his ass, he ain't quitting… him and Herb.
