unfortunately that will actually just fill the need for Dolan to continue to starphuq
As soon as GM's around the league, know Dolan is in charge, and not a REAL GM making basketball decisions, they will look to exploit the Knicks
Almost every team in the entire league has been looking to stockpile assets with draft picks/young players/ value in contracts, and preserving cap space for 2015
This past trade deadline, was Dolan's best chance to make a decision on the future of the franchise
A- To continue to starphuq and get players like (all at a decent price) Turner, Thad Young, and Spencer Hawes, and keeping Melo
Hawes and Turner were traded for 1 2nd round picks each, so if you add in 2018, 2020, and 2018, 2019 2nd rounders, it probably would have got done, I would also look to take back a early/mid 2nd rounder that Philly owns this summer, probably adding in the 3m in trades though
or
B- Trade for assets, stockpile picks, and tank till 2015, trading pieces to contenders looking to win this year
This summer, those teams that would trade for those players, would rather just wait it out....
By doing nothing, he just loss leverage with Melo and the entire league
MCkinsey must convince Dolan that he must hire a completely new management team, from GM to Coaching
Every team in the league will look to exploit the Knicks if Dolan is in control, using them as a tool to speed up the rebuilding process
