New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has repeatedly said he wants to stay in New York when free agency comes. But he has also said he’s interested in exploring his options this summer.

Although he is under contract through next season, Anthony can opt out of his deal after this season. If he stays with the Knicks, the team can offer him a maximum contract worth $129 million over five years. Other teams can offer him a four-year deal worth $96 million.

His wife, media personality La La Anthony, says she thinks he will “definitely” stay in the Big Apple.

“I definitely think he will stay [in New York]. I know that he wants to stay and I support him
wherever he wants to go,” she said in an interview with Bravo TV’s “Watch What Happens Live, via ESPN.com. ” “Listen, I used to live in Denver with him. If I can live in Denver, I can live anywhere. I just want him to be happy.”

Anthony is having another outstanding season, averaging 27.2 points and a career-high nine rebounds per game for the Knicks (17-27).

1. I hate the airport. Glad I don't have to deal with it much.
2. Most horrific Urban sprawl for a city not land locked by water.

Took me two and a half hours to get out of ATL from Kennesaw once on a sunday afternoon and I had a 5 hour ride ahead of me. Did I say a sunday afternoon? Traffic on 85 north. this was 10 years ago. I got Sirius after that trip!

New south Cities in Texas like Houstan/Dallas and ATL, Charlotte are nice places with nice people but these new towns have no soul.

San Antonio and Austin TX are great! I play in Orlando and Miami only for the winter weather otherwise I hate the whole damn state of florida except some Keys on the west coast, and the florida keys down to Cuba. Fake man made swap state other wise. Love Cuban food!!!

My choice would be NY/BKN, Bos, Golden State, LA and Portland. Great cities all different!

Traffic can be a mess, one of the worst I have seen, until I visit DC and maryland.. wow..

They have expanded a lot of the freeways nalod, you should not have that kind of problem anymore, especially as far north as kennesaw..

ahhhh not really, you have to visit some of the surrounding cities.. like marietta, the city of decatur, those are newer growing cities with a unique feel.. the city of decatur is amazing..great places to eat, drink, live, festivals, art..... and there are other cities poping up like that around atlanta.. even in the city, the auburn ave, area, edgewood area, near where MLK grew up is full of bars and nice little club spots..

you say Melo is a loser. Its not true, as he has won in HS, won in college and has never had a single losing season in the NBA. You dont talk hoops at all.. just trash trash trash.
