Updated - And 2nd 3rd 6th 9th worst record in the NBA, but I won't dwell there. Tied for eighth!

I know one game (Spurs) doesn't mean much, but being down low with the Knicks just ain't fun.
I will give them props. New Year, new games, new energy. They bring and we bring it.
They beat a good team. Perhaps Shump turns things around now. Nice stat line, damn nice put back tip.
Timmy Jr. didn't get many minutes.
JR only 5 shots, nice.
Toure 15 minutes - nice.

Yeah those stats are very alarming to me. I don't watch games anymore but it looks to me that Shumpert got hot finally. The 27pts is a career high. I'm not impressed.

I'm pissed thjr and Toure only played 15 mins. It shows that Woodson is still relying heavy on these veterans. I'm so angry this season that I dunno if I could cheer for this group even if they manage to turn it around and win the east and make the playoffs.

And they are 5.5 games back from Toronto and yeah suprisingly 2.5 games out of the 8th spot. The conference is a joke http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/nba/standings

Murry looked good in the first half but appeared overwhelmed in the second half. He had a few bad possessions including the play where amare hit that huge shot with no time left on the clock. Not sure why hardaways minutes were low but shump was on fire. This was a bad game to miss. If you can catch the Knicks in 60 version. This was the best win of the season.

I dunno if I can. I was cursing at the tv when we beat Orlando by 30pts. That was the last full game I saw. I can't deal with it. Looking at the stats it liked like the Spurs played their worst game of the year and still only lost by 5. Belinelli was hot and if Parker and Duncan made their shots the game would have ended the same as always Sigh

We were defending the pick and roll and Tyson (I know he isn't your favorite) was closing out the lane well so Parker couldn't drive to the hoop as easily. It was a good win.

Im not watching the games either. You can't really go on about Murry if your not seeing him.

From what I have seen from his minutes he is not really doing much. Granted, They are not relying on him either. Its development and if you put him in a position and he fails, you've cooked him. He is not ready.

Woodson has to go with proven entities first until the rooks unseat whose in front. Its how you keep your lockerroom. The team has not thrown in the towel so you basically go with veterans.

If Spurs make their shots they win? Of course they do. Lots of crap teams get wins on the road and perhaps the spurs took knicks for granted. Last place team on the road is not a game good teams get up for!

Lets hope they can build on it..........

We've seen in with this team and this coach - they are capable of a rattling off a few win streaks. If they do that, they're in the 5th seed, which is where the consensus thought they'd be... although with less wins. Thank goodness for a crap conference

Take the Atlantic and its a 4th seed!

Not sure that really means anything other than an easier path if we get our act together by seasons end and an improbable run.

Thats what makes it interesting.

Nice to see a win against a legit contender with some of the smartest players in the league, but yes, its only one game. At least it shows the team what they're capable of. Felton and Prigs coming back will probably be a mixed blessing, we'll see what happens when the team is back to full strength.

Stat hit a big shot late in the game with time running out, but I believe Woodson should be bringing in Tyson sooner in the 4th when we have a lead. Chandler was also showing he has a jumper before he went down, hope he gets back to that being a part of his game. Its more effective than his recent shot attempts off the dribble, and it pulls opposing bigs out of the paint.

It means that people won't jump when our pick is used to select Julius Randle or Jabari Parker or Marcus Smart or whoever

When Shunpert is playing well THJR should be dipping into JR's minutes. He is our future, JR is not.

We better win the whole thing or at least get to the finals to justify that one

If you tell me we gave up a lottery pick to build a true contender I can live with that. Making the playoffs and getting bounced in the 1st or 2nd rd is not enough for me.

We need a PG

They're not going to do much without a PG and some outside shooting consistency from the 2/3. As long as they right the ship enough in the garbage conference so the pick doesn't become a high lottery pick then I can live with that.

And our 100% record is even more impressive when you consider it's been at .398% for the last 12.5 years! Talk about progress!

2013 was a tough year for a lot of people, not to mention NY sports teams.
If Quantum physics has anything to it, I don't feel like being down on the Knicks anymore.
I'm not at all a downer kind of person and this team is a challenge.
Sucking really sucks, it's like we take it on (if you at all tune in).
Don't want that baggage.
So, come on Knicks!

Just wanna say even though I'm not staying up to tune in at game time to watch the games, I do go back with the dvr and watch what I want and fast forward the bull****....like Murry's minutes or whatever. I haven't watched this Spurs game....I probably won't.

I can't cheer for JR Smith...Shump is a crybaby, I can't cher for him either. We suck because he sucks...I'm not 8 years old where I can sit and hope my hero's can pull it together. These guys are wannabees.

I can't get hype for a retarded coach that doesn't play to his team strengths and won't play players even when the first, second and third options at their position are all on injured reserve.

I want my team to succeed but I have lost the connection with this group. If they happen to turn it around I probably still won't watch.
