And a 2014 1. We can either use Bynum the rest of the year or just cut him and save the cash

I would do this deal and ask for Bennett. Send them Shumpert too.

They would do it. Also, Waiters might be the better guy to sub in. They don't want Waiters there and he is a very talented kid. If the Knicks are wheeling and dealing they could possibly move Waiters for Faried or someone else.

Gawd no. Bynum is a headcase, another jerk with a bad attitude and bad knees to boot, the last thing this team needs. Rather take on a health risk and offer Chandler for Lopez to the delusional and desperate Nets if you will

If we're cutting our losses and rebuilding I would do this. Bynum is on a 1 year deal. Especially if we can get a pick and/or Waiters if we throw Shump in.

yup you do this in a heartbeat....

oh but remember that Tyson is a olympion, a nba champon, a defensive player of the year....oh and he can curl more than Hulk Hogan brother!

not happening....they believe in his myth too much...

they still believe they will turn it around.

As much as I'm disappointed in Chandler, I think he still has some game left . . . though not on the Knicks. I'd do this deal, even if Cleveland does't throw any any extra pieces. I don't think Bynum is going to be useful but, hey, what's one more head case? Also, dumping his contract at the end of the year would be, yes, useful.

Yes, let's actually trade a center with a chip and a strange innate ability to slap O-bounds out to the wings for a major wingnut who's couldn't manage to do anything other than get himself suspended off the great Cleveland Cavaliers. On his way to Greg Odenville.

Just imagine Bynum and MWP on the bench together.

This is a no-brainer, and it's not about getting back Bynum: It's a throwing-in-the-towel move meant to get an expiring contract (Bynum) and a first rounder. Heck, with Cleveland's luck in the past couple of drafts, maybe we end up with a top-10 pick (i.e., this pick should be top-3 protected only, otherwise phook it).

The Knicks are close to considering this season hopelessly lost.

Good idea Briggs, I was thinking its not about bynum its about a future asset.

Truth be told it don't matter where our pick is that Denver gets cuz its not ours.

I was also thinking Chandler to OKC for Perk and youthier assets. If they feel they are an athletic defensive minded center away from winning a chip they do it. I know they are Youthier rich.

At the same time Im calling tthe clippers and get Griffith for Melo.

Its time to move forward. If you not moving forward your moving backwards.

Bynum isn't worth a nickle..he's lazy, stupid, injury prone, super low IQ..why would you want him,he brings nothing but more drama.

I really don't want guys like that in the locker room..it's not good

I guess there are some fans who are believers that this team is going somewhere--maybe they are the suckers paying for tickets. Then there are those who actually understand where we are and what we have--and understand we need to change this whole team. I didnt say trade Chandelr for Bynum--I said Bynum AND a 2014 #1--and thats what Im interested in. Bynum can do what Chanlder does if we even want to keep him. If not--let Tyler get the PT. Some fans really deserve what they watch.

nah

I just don't want to swap Chandler for Bynum. If you want to get some prospects/picks in return, I'm down with that.

For Bynum? I think I'd rather hold out for Steve Francis

it's a great plan if you ask me. It makes us a player this off season. I would be good with anything that could make it work. Then the Knicks need to start looking to move bargs, Felton and jr too

I think he's worth a little more than that... but you're right, I missed the pick and Lakers fans suck

do you think the Knicks could get a second round pick in 2097 for a package of Bargs, Felton, and JR? I know that's not what you meant but that thought crept into my mind and I almost choked on my water
