i really like Iman, before he was drafted, and still do today

All his demeanor, confidence, work ethic, defensive mentality, willingness and IQ to do whatever he needs to compliment his team, these are all qualities that will make him KEEPER
Every other GM sees this in him, will value him for it, and will find the right DEVELOPMENT to further his skills with the time/patience/coaches/equipment to help him

Like Trevor Ariza, Channing Frye, Jordan Hill, and many of our past picks, we just don't value DEVELOPMENT players
Unlike these players though, Iman has the KILLER INSTINCT and CONFIDENCE/TOUGHNESS to play in NYK
Iman will get payed in 2015, something we don't want to do unless we can trade JR Smith/Felton, to add the "big name" players....
With JR Smith, Tim Hardaway JR, and all these rumors/with Woodson suddenly falling off Iman, it is going to come and we will regret it

Lets be honest, if we let Jeremy Lin walk for NOTHING for what did in his brief time here, and Iman can actually bring back value (likely the most interest of all our players here)

I just hope we get back multiple picks/asset's like to Sun's for Gereld Green, 1st round pick, and multiple 2nd round picks

Along with moving Melo, JR Smith, and Felton, to clear cap space, and get back as many asset's as we could to rebuild in 2015 summer FA's....
Getting a GM and Coach that have a proven record with Dolan staying out of their decisions, and playing/developing the right way.......

Apparently he is on both Woodson and Dolan's **** list so I wouldn't be surprised if Shump was gone by the all star break.

If it improves our team and it's a smart trade..who cares, its a business.

I like him and he's a good defender, but he's not impressing me one bit this yr and were losing..

Lets face it Shump has had ample time to become more of a force for the KNicks but I feel with two players that are shot happy in JR and Melo he will never be much of a threat offensively. He is already very poor at finishing around the basket, its almost like hold your breath when he is on a break away because there is a high probability he is going to mess it up. He makes Shandon Anderson look like a master finisher, you guys know how bad he was. Woody's system isn't conducive to any quality play just a bunch of iso and three point chucks. Knicks are playing play ground basketball, they don't play true basketball. Execution basketball that keeps the team on its toes.

I doubt anyone on this board feels differently.

Depends what you'd consider a smart trade. The Knicks would get hosed in any Shumpert deal. Shumpert is not the guy you should be looking to trade. He is playing nowhere near his potential value. There are major pieces on this roster with value

He's gone, we're just waiting until Decemeber 15th. The damage has been done now, so you have to trade him. He knows the owner doesnt want him so why would he want to stay?

Knicks1248 also said that if it improves the team, which is what we all want. Ive been as big a supporter of shump as anyone but no player is untouchable, that includes Melo.

Shumpert thrives in transition. He looked good running the floor in preseason. Woodson and the personnel Shumpert spends most of his time on the floor with is not concussive running and getting easy baskets. Knicks rather fight for sltough shots in the halfcourt

Shump also looked better under Dantoni

Shump and this team as as a whole need some stability. As I said earlier this season, when players roles are more defined, barring another rash of injuries, we should start playing better and winning games. To be honest Im more worried about mgmt at this point.

Like Shumpert but I would offer him to Bulls for Taj Gibson who would help us in several areas and might even consider eith Deng or Derrick Williams and Shved if Minny called

I just thought of this guy...Doug mof'ing Christie....dude was a Knick for a season and a half....he had a nice year with the Lakers the year before he became the Knicks. The Knicks didn't even try to use him....he goes off to have a epic career in Sactown going to war with CWebb and them.

All I'm saying is....**** Iman Shumpert....he's a nice guy and probably would be dope to hangout with. My sister met him and got that vibe off him. He's a dope guy....but yo....time goes on...The Knicks proved to be ok without Doug Christie. The Knicks will be fine without Shump. Right now all Shump has is potential. He's not playing well here. He's playing very mediocre...that's on him not the way they are using him. If you can play you can play. Right now he isn't really doing anything worth saying he's a lock....if he goes to another team and gets 15,5,5 with 2 steals then that's great. As long as the knicks make the right move for or team and we benefit then to hell with Shumpert the basketball player.

Doug Christie didn't become a first rate defender until after he left the Knicks. I remember an interview a long time ago about him realizing that he had to change his game to make it in this league, might have been JVG who told him.

If we trade Shump I want the trade to make us better. Probably would have to be a package deal.

Why would any team want to trade for SAhumpert unless they had someone who stinks and are looking for a lateral trade. Hes had two knee injuries and it shows===we can find another 20 shumperts playing in the d league.

Shump seems be a decent player but not a top tier player. If a team wants him for some reason and it somehow can get us out of this mess we are in...... Go For it.

I am going to waffle on my stance on this. Shump and a pick for Faried. Get it done.

We can't afford to take on another abysmal defender, and we can't afford to give away another draft pick- calm down man!
