the 6"7 Shaun Livingston on the team ?

No more injuries for him now, he deserves a starting pg position , he paid his dues.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

How good are the Nets with Livingston as their PG?

I take it you guys haven't watched enough nets games on Yes network ?

He's everything the knicks lack at pg, he's all three of our pg's in one and more.

Can run an offense

He can post up smaller guards

He can hit mid range jump shot

Can beat his man to the rim

Can defend with his 7"0 wing span, great help defender

The nets have to many guys who dribble and score without needing a pg ( they create their own shots, that's what we don't have and all we lack is a pg who distributes the ball well.

The games when Deron didn't play ,Livingston had

17PTS 6 AST 3 REB 1 STL AND BLK vs pho

11 5 5 vs CLIPPERS

23 PTS 2REB 2ASS VS PORTLAND

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

With a stud PG this team is completely different. Look at how they played IND with Udrih and he still had turnover problems. No one will commit to Livingston because of his injury past. but he sure is playing well.

I had doubts about Beno, but with minutes, he can be very good for our PG situation.

we knew a lot of these guys would be available before we started making financial decisions... we could have maximized this list, especially with our picks we traded, novak,etc...
for example we could gone after Dj augustine, Austin Daye, livingston, if you add up all of that salary, it is very close to the 3.1 mil, but here is the point, these are all vet min deals, and still would have had our TPMLE... that would have given us two PG's, and a stretch SF in Daye... and all of them are young, even livingston who is only 27.. he can also play a little SG...
Then we could have split that TPMLE on guys like Hollins, Wesley Johnson and Byron Mullens...
that would have given us two more bigs on this team, two PG's and two more shooters... of course given that we had the roster slots.

I'm just saying playa, but hey, what the heck do I know? Now I will say this, that Augustine isn't playing that much in toronto, I thought he would be a good change of pace guard here. Can score, quick, can penetrate and push the ball.. but whatever..

I agree, livingston is looking great and one of the guys I wanted to target..

when you look at how much better we looked with Beno's 'good' PG play against Indy you realize how terrible Felton has been. Beno was good. Played like a solid role player, and in doing that made Felton look terrible. whaever Felton's problem, fatness, injury or otherwise he needs to be buried on the desk until he learns to play again

I would love to have a guy like Teague or kemba walker. Just a dude that can put tge defense in their heels and bring fear. Those guys cause so much problems for defenses. When they have the ball everyone is open all the time

Tyreke Evans would be an ideal player the KNicks should go after if they do decide to move Shumpert. Of course additions will need to be added.

Ok you think Beno is better than Felton ?

Ok let him play a few more games, especially on the road where the crowd is not rooting for us in the background.

When Felton gets healthy (Hip- hamstring) he's better overall than Beno and Prigs who I like.

Felton is the better guard compared to Beno and pablo. But he's not the better pg. I only gave felton a slight edge in woodys switching defense...cause Felton has the body to guard bis in the post...hard to back him down cause he's strong. But it's clear this team needs a floor general with so many system and non system aka iso ballers on this team. Felton is turning into an undersized SG due to his role in that 2 guard lineup.

I think Livingston signed for the vet mini just like Beno. It turned out to be a great signing. Watching the Nets, the announcers have said on numerous occasions that he was the guy Kidd wanted to back up Deron. I am not a DJ fan but I have liked Daye and thought he would break out and be a 16 and 5 guy at some point. However, with mini contracts only, the Knicks were pretty limited. They really valued Prigs and didn't sign him for much. The rest of their mmle was used on Metta. I can't complain about that, the Beno signing or the Aldrich signing. All of those guys are bargains for what they bring to a team.

Agree. Felton just needs to sit when he is hurt instead of playing badly in an attempt to be noble. The team has enough depth and talent that he can rest and the team is better without him playing injured.

Livingston is a high injury risk, nice to patch it up with but far from a solution.

Shump is supposed to be tyreke Evans with better defense.... so that's kinda funny. I wish we would have tried to get Isiah Thomas from sactown before he stated averaging 18 2 and 4 in 27 mins off the bench this year

Evans sees the floor better than Shump. Shumps calling card is defense but he plays wild defense which means he get burned a lot he can learn that. But Evans is the better player and more polished around the basket. Ideal type of SG/PG.
