Could it be he welcomes the dysfunction to try and nominalize his own dysfunction in life.

Or could it be someone is speaking in his ear and he's just a puppet owner.

Why was or is he and Isiah Thomas so tight, what's the attraction of interest.

In August of 2010 Dolan attempted to bring Thomas back to the Knicks as a paid consultant. The move was blocked by Commissioner David Stern, who stated that Thomas also holding a job as head basketball coach at Florida International University would violate NBA bylaws.

Dolan made this revealing comment when he learned that Thomas would not be allowed to work for the Knicks.

Although I'm disappointed that Isiah will not be working with the Knicks as a consultant, I continue to believe in his basketball knowledge, including his ability to judge talent. He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

It's tough to understand the bond between Dolan and Thomas, but it does exist, even if it doesn't seem to work in the favor of the New York Knicks.

To me that comment sound like somebody who got divorced and still wants to be friends and share the kids . Creepy!

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

A running joke was that Thomas has some kind of dirt on Dolan.

Dolan, a onetime drug and alcohol abuser, now two decades sober.

Ah he still hangs and sings in nightclub/bars though.... yea ok.

The way Dolan handled Anucha Browne Sanders’s sexual-harassment lawsuit against Isiah is telling. MSG execs were begging Dolan to settle. Instead, he fought, keeping the unseemly details of the matter in the tabloids for months … and ended up losing anyway.

Maybe payback to Isiah by keeping his dirty Laundry in the air longer than necessary ?

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Isiah I always thought wanted to bring NY basketball down from some odd reason being from Chicago.

Then he takes on Chicago native Eddy Curry (Alleged of asking a limo driver I believe to fondle him), Jerome James,Jamison Brewer and countless other stiffs.

By the way Curry said he employed Kuchinsky as a limo driver from October 2005 to October 2008. He said a dispute with another member of Curry's inner circle in April 2008 led to a frank discussion with Kuchinsky, and Kuchinsky told Curry "he didn't want to work for me anymore."

DOES ANYBODY SEE A PATTERN OF SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION HERE ???

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Actually, I think it's simply that Dolan is a moron who is desperate for approval from people he considers "cool". He's a typical trust fund arsehole who only knows how to use his money to buy friends and gain entry into the circles he wants to be part of.

I don't think Thomas has any dirt I think that Isiah sweet talked some bull**** to Dolan because Isiah surely sees the advantages of having a billionaire as a lap dog and knows Dolan is desperate for approval and to associate himself with his desired cronies.

Here's another analogy: Look at Dolan. He basically looks like an Orc or an ugly leprechaun. Do you think he ever got a beautiful woman who wasn't after his money? It's the same with Dolan and the CAA guys, Isiah, whomever. Both parties are using each other.

So the people he gravitates to and shows favor to are the ones Dolan has putting on the show at MSG.

Starring Steve Mills, CO -STARS J.R Smith, Amare Stoudemire, Chris Smith and up and comer Iman Shumpert.

I don't think this has anything to do with approval, Dolan sounds like some kind of deviant with boat loads of cash who draws to himself those of like mindedness (with issues).

AND THIS IS WHAT HE PARADES AS A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION.

Dolan is dysfunctional because he couldn't even tell he had a future star PG on his team.

I don't think he pays attention most of the time. I think he wants big names and trusts his basketball people. However, currently he is very hands on and the negative impact of that is being felt throughout the organization. Donnie signing amare to the contract he is under now is a big part of the knicks troubles. Having 22 mil tied up in a guy that can't play and having traded away draft picks and young players to get the cap space to sign him put the Knicks back quite a ways. I think some are starting to see how smart Grunwald is. Bargs was the only guy the Knicks could get that had the potential to be a second star to Melo in their situation. He also provided the parachute of giving the Knicks more cap space in 2015. Grunwald's firing and the Chris Smith signing are really bad moves. Have to hope Dolan is on tour with his band and the Knicks are winning the next time there is a full moon.

I think of dysfunction as something Dolan leaves in his wake. Its been said before, the Knicks are no different to Dolan than any other product he sells at Cablevision. Most owners take more pride in their teams.

The only reason why JR Smith doesn't have to change is because Dolan my be suffering or dealing with substance abuse himself and told Woody to work with him we are not getting rid of him.

But I say he knew. He has too much pride and that is the teams downfall. He takes things too personal. The Shump thing with not playing in Summer league. Glad Derrick Rose isn't on this team, he'd be going too.

Also, you are what you are. Clearly he is a dysfunctional guy. Your business is a representation of what you are. No sugar coating that. It is not chance, bad luck, etc.
You reap what you sow.

Sadly, we can probably never expect much with him at the helm.

Oh, I think you're right. From the context above, I thought he meant Shumpert but that wouldn't make sense on any level.

Why do you think James Dolan accepts all the dysfunction on the team ?
