I'm going to back Briggs up on this one. Add my name to the list Iron.

I like how this team matches up against Miami and everyone out west. I do not like how this team matches up against Indy and Chitown. We shall see

We had a good team last season too. Then Woodson's offense happened to us in the playoffs. I predict second round exit. Good luck.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I'm not worried about Indiana if we are healthy. We have better floor spacers, particularly at the big man spots, and will be able to dissect their defense more effectively. I am worried about Chicago though because their bigs have the foot speed to keep up with us on the perimeter and their guards are stalwart defenders.

i'm not going to predict a championship like briggs, but i can definitely understand the sentiment. i know alot of people like to bitch and moan about everything that has to do with this team but i really like they way we're constructed. flame all you want but i think the bargs/melo pairing at forward is going to work out much better than anyone anticipates and the bench with amear, artest, jr smith, udrih, kmart is going to be huge. i really like our physicality and i think we match up better than we did last year with miami. can we beat miami? i have no idea, but i like the way we matchup with them. we have alot of defensive players on this roster and i see us giving them a really tough time. i for one am absolutely pumped for the bargs/artest/udrih additions and for this season to start.

It's hard to predict title...but I've been saying for months that we're much better than we were last year. Very very excited for this season to start.

can we add 08 celtics to this list?

maybe improbable finals appearances is better question

WOW! I feel so good to have company in Rainbows and Unicorns Knicks Land No really I do agree with your sentiment. This team is nothing to sneeze at but the media and many fans are just not paying attention to the depth and talent level on this team. There are no real weak spots in this rotation. We've got really solid PG's as you mention and a very versatile and capable roster at every position. The biggest thing is the amount of continuity we have this year, which has been a limitation in previous years.

All i've heard about this summer is how much better all the teams in the East have gotten and how the Knicks will fall back as if they did nothing!!! The Knicks made very shrewd moves this summer after keeping most of the key players they had last year. It's hard to identify any serious weak spots on this team. Last year you could but this roster is much improved.

So Yeah let's go all out!!! KOOL-AID FOR EVERYONE!!!

Briggs - how do you see us handling front courts like Indiana and Chicago - particularly rebounding

I'm on that Kool aid trip as well....

I just think teams will have an even harder time trying to guard Melo. Bargs provided him that second scorer. Tyson will be more open. Felton and Shump will be more open too.

If a team like Indiana tried to pack it in on us again we would make them pay every time. Melo just needs a little space. Bargs just gives everyone that space. Bargs should be able to win every Matchup he faces. Guys have to come out to get him and then the dude can finish so you are dead if you over Play

Great question

Is the only question really. The Knicks counter that by not turning the ball over. Woodson will have the guys playing adequate defense so we'll be fine.

On the flip even though Bargs is not a strong rebounder he's so 7ft. Bids have to check him or he will get the rebound. You can't put a little guy on him because Bargs will punish a little guy.

From your words to gods ears I hope your right!

Obviously in a good scenario Bargnani will prove to be a valuable pick up for us.
