![]() He is obviously insane, but I don't think anyone could ever legitimately say he is a cancer on a roster. Agreed he is not the same player like he was 10 yrs ago but, after slimming himself down a bit, looked pretty solid last year.
Also think people should realize he wants the leadership role and wants to represent his hometown and imo that alone will remove alot of the silly BS he has done on the court. My favorite addition to this team by far. |

THE Difference is we know artest history, it is no secret... people do change, however, changing doesn't make them suitable leaders either... what I think Artest has learned is that the more skill you lose the more your game declines the less teams put up with your BS.... At least he learned that, but not for one minute would I say I trust this dude... ![]() Hopeless or Dishing and Swishing in the moment?

I know a lot of smart teams that won championships. Obviously, sometimes the smart thing to do is be physical. That will come. People without hope are hopeless. Basketball is fun. Highlighting the warts and flaws on full blast does nothing for the enjoyment of the Answer Man. It is a game. A championship would be sweet. Until the day after, when the same kvetching over coaching and roster moves kicks in. Keep hope alive. once a knick always a knick

Do you feel the Knicks team has warts and flaws? Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL

![]() The Answer Man Meets Cartman Halfway
Q. Cartman - Do you feel the Knicks team has warts and flaws? A. Absolutely The head coach admits he played Jason Kidd (15% shooting) too much in the playoffs. Our leading man is a self-absorbed, tat-wearing ghetto fabulous prima donna, we just picked up a former number one who is a bust, our other 100M bonus baby is fatally flawed with a game based on vertical jump of which he has none left, our center has the flu, we have no backup center, our lead guard is too pudgy, our other guards are WAY too shy, our most athletic guard has never played a full healthy season and our 13 new guys are barely acquainted. Did I mention Ron Artest, JR Smith AND Kenyon Martin are ALL crazy? Other than that, we are perfect. Seriously Cartman, every team has warts and flaws. They are only humans. The beauty is watching the bright moments when the dominoes fall info place and the extra pass is made or there is a steal in the open court, that leads to a dunk. There is an exhibition game in Baltimore and The Answer Man will be there with a crab cake sammich. Enjoy the new ride. once a knick always a knick

![]() RODMAN!!!
I think it's OK sometimes to have a little crazy on your team. The team has enough straight laced guys that they can deal with a bit of a wild card. Teams have been able to win with a crazy guy in the mix. |

![]() nixluva wrote:RODMAN!!! uhhh... no artest is a hothead you need ballast on a team with this many "personalities," somebody who has poise, composure, and is unflappable. last year it was kidd, and prigioni rarely if ever lost it. felton likes to out his hands on his hips and pout, sometimes he walks away from the refs too fast as a form of protestation too. i am all for playing with passion and intensity but not if it causes you to unravel. knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

![]() I personally think people throw the word leadership out like it means something, leaders there are plenty almost every team has one on their team. Find me a player with leadership and will. The player that wills his team to take it to a higher level of play. The player that commands the respect of his team.
How often did we watch Pat Ewing carry the Knicks. Bernard King take a bunch of backups to a higher level. That's the leadership/will player the Knicks are lacking. |
