Various Knicks players already working out together

Sept 9th 2013

Training camp is still a few weeks away, but some Knicks have shown up early at the team’s practice facility in Greenburgh to work out together.

Tyson Chandler, Iman Shumpert, C.J. Leslie, Amar’e Stoudemire and Beno Udrih, among others, were at the the facility this past week, according to two people with knowledge of the workouts.

It is common for players to get together on their own to work out. Some Brooklyn Nets worked out together in Los Angeles recently.

Last season, the Knicks worked out together at the team’s practice facility before training camp.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Glad to hear it. Gives Udrih a chance to get to know his teammates, their tendencies. Stat can work on his post game some more, Shump on his skills. Always good to hear about rooks showing up early. Hopefully more of them will take advantage of the opportunity to practice with vets.

yeah, its very important for a point guard to get to know the players he will be working with. This is good to know except for maybe Amare. It may have been better for him to rest those glass knees until training camp begins.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

As long as the new players don't pick up any bad habits while getting familiar trying to fit in.

Definitely don't want Stat to overdo it but the kind of sessions we saw Hakeem and Stat go through in those clips would be OK IMO. I agree I don't want to Stat pushing himself too hard, its a looong season.

I tried to paste the actual picture here but, it would only let me past the link location. I am unfortunately not nearly as computer savvy as I would like. Thanks for posting it Gustav.

I remember reading a few week ago that he wanted to get back down to what he weighed coming out of college. I expect there to be a few: what took so long posts but, I will state that I am happy at his OBVIOUS dedication to the Knicks. Felton imo is one of those True Knicks that will be fondly remembered in the years to come.

No problem Durzo. Its real easy to post a pic. Get a free account at imageshack.us , upload the pic, copy and paste the forum code, remove this [IMG].......[IMG] on both sides of the link, then remove the "uploaded by imageshack" below it, and you're good to go.

Felton has won me over. Was not a fan when he left the last time because he was calling his number too much, and playing sloppy after a hot start. Felton hasn't been flawless this time around (who has?) but he's doing a much better job of playing under control and looking to set up his teammates. Felton also knows when its time to take over a game, like he did in the Boston series, which we would not have won without him. Didn't do so hot in Indy but you could say that about the rest of the squad as well. Felton can't do it all.

I don't dislike felton, but I doubt he will be "fondly" remembered... I think some if not most will be indifferent....get me a good PG right now and I can easily forget about felton.

Guns, your very bitter these days. Lower the bar and you'll enjoy the team better.

Someone will be really excited about knicks working out because they don't realize the rest of the league is already doing so.

Somewhere Spree is trying to print his "Mapquest" route to anywhere, and he'll still get lost.

Somethere Beas is trying to detox to get a work out.

Somewhere Mutumbo is still a good back up to someone.

Somewhre Playa it trying to break a story.

Somewhere Lin is making Dolan feel bad.

Somewhere Pat Ewing is going to stab his head coach in the back.

I love reading your posts Nalod...agree or disagree they are ALWAYS interesting

that is a problem for about 80% of the guards in the league. They need to allow hand checking :)

I hope so, he has a great attitude and loves being a Knick. Has backed up his talk and looks to be in terrific shape- I really hope it pays off. I know he's an average PG, but I do like him.

Really hoping Felton and Iman can step up and give us a bit more- they really showed flashes in the playoffs and have worked hard in the offseason.

That's my take as well. Felton isn't elite but he has the right attitude and he's hungry and working hard. Doesn't mean we stop trying to improve, but at the same time I'm glad he's a Knick now.

Felton is easy to root for. He loves being a Knick and works very hard. Nice to see him in great shape already.

It's true; we need more 8-10 year old threads bumped so we can all experience the happy, unjaded guns.

Papabear Says

TKF Youre an exception to the cause. Most Knicks fans don't think like you that's why Felton will be well remembered. If the majority of the Knicks fans thought like you there would be about 50 people showing up for each game.

I now fear you have a shrine of sorts in you basement!

Photos of Nalod tacked in sequential order on a corkboard in a timeline of quotes connected by red strings weaving a sequence only known to the his obsessor! Or at least in attempt.
Below burning in effigy is a volitve candle with a chicken foot as an offering in hope verbal knowledge will be gived. The scent from the candle fills the room with a fragrance. The obsessor has become accustom to it finding comfort when inhaled.
If only the obsessor could breath relief and write such quotes himself? Perhaps the head of a goat will satisfy the gods.
