Should the Knicks take a chance on Fab Melo or is one Melo enough, ideal 15th man. Haddadi or Melo I personally would take Fab Melo.

Absolutely. Young big as 15th man. Low risk high reward type move.

I read somewhere he had a bad work ethic. For a young team(Celtics) looking for more youth to give up on him says a lot.

The more I think about it there is no question the Knicks shouldn't pass on Fab Melo. Carmelo should call Grunwald right make a case for his Syracuse University alumni. He has had some monster games in the D league.

Sign him to a two year deal once Chandler is set to come off the books Fab can take his place at much friendlier salary cap rate.

Get him, if only to finally add an element of accuracy to the 'Melo sucks' posts.

Eh why not. I can use a fellow countrymen on the Knicks since they screwed up wih Nene. They owe me one. Still rather have Haddadi and cut Leslie

He must be terrible, or have a horrific work ethic, or have some off the court issues for the tanking Celtics to give up on him so quickly. And then get cut by the Griz too. For a 7 footer to get dumped so quickly, there must be something wrong.

He has great shot blocking instincts. He looks like he would be effective in pick and roll.

His knock is he's not very smart out there. He's got his feet wet and is still young. I'd love to have him as the 15th man.

How awesome would it be if the Knicks can get Fab and he comes up with hardaway, Leslie, and Tyler , as the future of our team? Even as just rotation players. Would be really good for us

same argument could be had of Barron and Haddadi

Not really- Haddadi has lasted a few years in the league with no complaints about his work ethic or attitude. I am slightly suspicious of Barron as he's looked okay in his games with us, but hasn't really stuck with any team. I do wonder why- are his games with us just flukes?

Too bad nobody among Knick mgmt. sees the value in 7' 255 lb. C Marcus Cousin. Without question this guy should get an invite to training camp...Cousin continues to be one of the best 7' centers out there skill-wise. I've thought that for some time. Unbelievable to me that he's not playing in the NBA...I'd take this guy over Barron (similar player to Barron actually, only this guy's about 5 yrs younger), Haddadi, Fab Melo, Jerome Jordan, Jeremy Tyler, you name it. This guy's skill level has always impressed the hell outta me. A very effective mix of power and finesse. 15-18' J is ABSOLUTE water from anywhere in the halfcourt set, he's good in the post with a very effective turnaround jumper he executes quickly and smoothly, potent hook shots over both shoulders after pounding it to get in close for very high % looks. Plus, he competes hard on the glass, runs the floor and cans his FTs. Can finish very strong and above the rim too. Play him too close and he'll put it on the floor and go right around defenders; lay off him only a little bit and he'll can jumpers in their face all day. You very rarely see a 7 footer shoot the ball as smoothly, cleanly and confidently as this man can (I can only think of a small handful)...What else is there? He'd be tremendous value for the money and an excellent backup center for us behind Chandler.

He looks great in that video. Not sure about the level of competition he is facing. I don't think he played in the summer leagues this year so maybe he already has a contract overseas.
