likely more minutes for Metta with the way Woodson prefers VETs

and

Iman Shumpert
Felton
Priggs

maybe a chance for Tim Hardaway JR, Murry *who I really like and wished we could use part of what was left of the MLE on*, CJ Leslie, and whoever might be signed at G to showcase their talents and fight their way out of Woodson's doghouse till JR recovers and gets back in game shape

At the very least, if we could not sign Nate, Udrih, Dalembert, Blaire, BJ Mullens, or a player that was worth more than what was left with the 1.6-7 MLE
I really would have preferred MWP taking 200k less *still with player option* and giving 3 year team options *to avoid Lin/Copeland future situations*, partial guarantee's, and a greater incentive *than under 500k 1st year salary as a rooks* to

Murry
Bobby Brown *a scoring PG that looks similar to a poor mans Bayless*

Some here might miss the talents that JR provides and others might be right that he is replaceable
Possibly 20 more attempts to go around the team or 50 shot attempts for Melo?

My thoughts on JR smith off season surgery(out 3-4 months)

- NOW i see why they drafted Hardaway JR (they didnt know they would resign JR and if they did, i think they KNEW he needed knee surgery)

- this might be a blessing in disguise cuz now TJ and shump will get more reps and playing time. this can only add to depth

- he WILL be back in time for the season...he might not be 100% but he wont miss much

- a player starts to lose their athletic ability in their late 20s. JR is an athletic freak of nature who sometimes relied on his athletic ability to force bad shots. I think being "less athletically" blessed will literally ground him...and could force him to be more intelligent

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Man, this was kind of out of leftfield, huh? Well I guess the good news is that he shouldn't miss too much time if any...Probably should make sure that one of these remaining 4 open spots goes to a SG, even with THJ & Shump on the team. Toure Murry and/or someone else like a Chris Douglas-Roberts maybe. For these final 4 spots, get the best guys you can possibly get for the money.

This came out at the same time Rhianna said he was playing
Poorly because he was partying. I even posted it here
But everyone preferred to believe otherwise..

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Last I checked, loss of athletic ability didn't make people smarter. Bonn can tell us if there's any correlation.

3-4 month recovery means this was a pretty major injury. The Knicks need Metta more than ever. JR's barely gonna be ready to go for the season- if he is at all.

For most teams he would be ready to play in 3 months but u know with the Knicks he will re-injure it a week after coming back and be untrade able drag that we have to trade draft picks to get rid of

I don't know if knowing specifically how and when he got hurt makes a person more or less of a fan. Means you made the right call.
I think its safe to say that most of us thought the partying had something to do with his play, but we didn't know to what extent.

Knicks are claiming that they knew this during contract discussions and that it wasn't an issue.
