Is it possible to show IP address's or some sort of an identity/profile for all usernames/posters here?
I question some posters here, using multiple names to bash/troll, and I think it will help some of the drama here on the UK message boards...

In general, I like that many here have a sense of basketball knowledge and provides quick updates/news/trades, talking basketball, giving thoughts/analysis/opinions of Knick's and NBA teams, and friendly debates
But some posters here take it too far, just to verbal abuse/attacking others here without giving substance and it is rather killing the boards from when I first joined http://UltimateKnicks.com

There are multiple problems with displaying IP's:

1. VPN's pretty much stop it.
2. Privacy - What about attacks on those IP's?
Sure there are quite a few more problems.

That said, the mods probably do have access to the IP's and use it in their "policing"...

The good news going forward is that there are ways being currently developed that allow ID's to be "trusted" and such over the net and you can build upon your trust level. Heard it in a bitcoin podcast and it is something that is currently in development. It still allows for anonymity as well. Forget the name but perhaps some one can chime in.

The mods here are way better than the ones over on the Knicks board at realgm- The amount of sheer racist c*** they allowed to be repeatedly posted about the Zimmerman case has put me off using those boards again.

The ignore button is great but you still can see some ignore posters on other posts. It would be nice to ignore them totally.
There could be duplicate posters on this forum. We have some real sickos who live to smash the knicks no matter what.

Displaying IP is not a smart idea from a security perspective. Those IPs can be gathered via a spider and it is creates a security hole for everyone. Not a good idea.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I find people who post in order to agree and +1 their alter-egos amusing.

I also admire the sheer amount of work it must take to keep those additional logins straight. I mean, each additional login must have a vaguely different opinion, right? The nuances are endless.

I also think martin and andrew have enough to do. Thanks, guys!

heck, I had a Nets Mod virtually stalking me. Dude would jump into knick threads to insult me because we had a disagreement on a thread once. I reached out to the Knicks mods about it and they did absolutely nothing even though he kept coming onto the Knicks site just to troll on my posts.

If possible, maybe somewhere in which we can all see who is logged in and out with time stamped?
It isn't about people who disagree with me, I have no problem with that at all

I am talking about coming up with a solution to STOP unnecessary trolling, attacking of specific members back and forth, and pure bashing on the UK site
