Under Scott, NJ scored the most points this year during the last 12 minutes or so. Under Franks, the first and third quarters is when NJ is trying to execute with energy. And after stating the obvious, watch Chucky change up his game plan.

Lenny's substitution will be key, and at some point Nazr + Deke should be exploited. New York's forte has always been defense, but you may have forgotten due to new emphasis on offense...now is the time to make Nets remember. New York needs to come out strong and set the tone for this series....if they don't, Nets +10 on game 1

gonna be a good game I hope. Some things to watch for:
1) Will Lenny be emotionally ok with Moochie not in the lineup?
2) Will Lenny buy time for Marbury? Marbury NEEDS to get decent rest, even in the playoffs.
3) Will the Knicks play like they care. This will be the time where we can tell once and for all whether the Knicks have tuned Lenny out. In the playoffs, good teams bring everything they have. Will the Knicks?
4) Are Kidd and Martin healthy? If these guys are close to 90%, I think we are in for trouble. Especially without Houston.
5) How much time are alloted to the young. Feck playoff experience. I want to see Dermarr, Frank, and Sweets getting solid minutes and giving the team added energy.

Today is when Marbury shows us how badly he wants to win. I think the Knicks steal this game today. Knicks-95 Nets-91

I'll be heading home from the city around 4 or so. I live in Glen Cove, on Long Island, so I will have a little radio walkman. Then when I get to my car, I will listen to 660, until I get home, then I will either watch it on ESPN or MSG. GO NY GO NY GO! This first game is very important to win.

Prediction Game 1-Knicks by a hair. Franks tries to trap Steph-lenny uses Penny and FWill at SG to take pressure off. Steph runs around to get open and put pressure on Kidds's knee. Sweets comes in to combat Kmart's dominence of KT and his young body wreaks havoc on KMart tentinitis forcing him to bench. With boards in control of Nazr and Sweets, Knx come back from 3rd qtr deficit.

Other things bound to happen in this series-Houston limping off the bench to take a shot- Deke waiving a finger at no one in particular-KMart waving his arms to try and get Nets fans to participate-IT grimacing then smiling-Lenny catching some shut eye during the game.

Those would be logical things to do. Why would Lenny do them?
