would be a great pickup - brand still has something left in the tank and can score in the post. this probably signifies kmart is gone now though - wouldn't be surprised if he signed with brooklyn.

Wouldn't mind. Similiar in production to a K-Mart, with better offense. Can block some shots as well even at his age.

yeah - he still blocked over a shot and grabbed over 6rebs in his 20mpg last year.

Why oh why can't it be someone younger?? Why does it have to be some long-in-the-tooth dude that's past his prime?? WHY? Jesus H Christ -- they're so FACINATED with this older players that are in the twilight of their careers, it's SCARY!!

Ok, got that out of my system -- anyone recall Brand on Dallas this past season? How'd he look -- does he have anything left?? Also, this has got to be for the vet minimum, right? Do we dip into the mini-MLE for this guy? God, I hope not.. Knicks "preparing an offer" for Brand makes me think mini-MLE..

Not talking about Blatche...I couldn't give a **** about that guy. I'm talking about adding a guy from SL, a young FA in their low 20s that fits the bill, someone cheap...Even Earl Barron is bigger and a good 3-4 yrs younger. I dunno man -- I hope I'm wrong and this guy has something left...They just love pushing the envelope with these guys that are on the downside...Get some more friggin' youngsters in here for Christ's sake..

Im very confused? I dont know what kind of team we are trying to put together. How does Brand fit in with the pieces we have. This team should be worrying about finding a competent PG more then anything else right now

Brand would fit very well. His mid range jumper is MONEY and he a good defensive rebounder and a very good offensive rebounder. Has shown the ability to block and alter shots too. Can't expect Bargs to bang against the likes of David West down low. Depending on the matchups this would be a great pickup.

not for the MLE it isnt this team has 1 PG. The positive though is he wont get more then 2 years
