josh selby!
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Selby, Darius Morris, Tinsley, earl Watson. I think we bring back Prigioni as backup and a guy like Tinsley or Watson as 3rd string.

I like Patty Mills. If he opts out of his player option with SA to become a FA, I'd jump all over him -- offer him $2M+ of the $3.8M tax payers MLE and guarantee him at least 20 mins a night backing up/playing with Felton. I think we can get him under those conditions. This dude hasn't gotten a true opportunity in the NBA yet -- and he'll continue to not get it if he stays in SA...He's capable of so much more than what we've seen. When he's gotten the time he's shown the flashes of being a VERY GOOD offensive player that can facilitate. I wanted Canaan in the 1st round (would've been OK with Wolters) or Pierre Jackson in the 2nd round. Mills is my plan B.

Don't leave it up to chance too. Be aggressive with the situation -- initiate talks with Mills' agent and tell him what we're prepared to offer.

yup and I heard him (yesterday) say money would not be an issue. That its all about the situation and play time. I would LOVE to see Calderon in a Knicks uniform. He's solid.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

He would be great. Even if we got him though I'd still like to bring Prigs back. I've always liked Calderon.

Wow! Signing Calderon has been my dream scenario since last season. If he's really more interested in situation than play time we need to offer him our full MLE and the starting spot at point guard as soon as free agency begins. He would immediately become our best offensive guard and someone who we could actually rely on game in and game out. And he'll only be 32 next season so I'm not worried that his game will fall off a cliff during his tenure. He would be a huge upgrade for us.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

You give him the full MLE we have, which is 3M, say bye bye to Cope and Prigs unless they want to come back on vet minimum deals.

Knicks don't have to use the MLE to resign their own free agent...do they??

I'm not crazy about Calderon even as a backup. He's not that quick anymore and he's completely useless on defense in every possible way.

I think I agree. I think Calderon is a bit underrated. He is a very good point guard.

Depends on how much they want. We have their Non-Bird Rights so we can offer them contracts for a little more than the vet minimum, around $1M. if they want more than that we'd have to start using the MLE on them and if they wanted more than that we can't resign them.

Perfect, then he'll fit right in with the rest of our backcourt.

He's gotta be up there. He'd have to be pretty valuable offensively to have a positive impact. His distributing ability is nice and looks pretty, and he can spread the floor, but how many points is this guy gonna give up?
