With news that Stern will block any Garnett trade to the Clippers now, should we go after Jordan?

Jordan plus their pick this year would be sweet. The Clippers have the 25th pick right after us.

Knicks could possibly have the 24th and 25th picks. We could grab a front court and back court player.

I doubt they'd give up a pick. Like everyone else, they want players on cheap rookie contracts

I'm not trading Tyson for Deandre's bad contract and the 25th pick in a bad draft. Despite how the season ended Tyson is the 2nd best player on the team.

How is Jordan's contract bad. He makes 4 million less than Chandler per year. He expires the same year as Chandler too.

Knicks are treading water until Amare expires. We need younger assets. Carmelo will be 30 next summer.

Jordan scores the same way Chandler does off alleys.

Jordan sucks at free throws. However, Jordan is younger and may improve.

Chandler isn't taking this team to the next level. Plus he is breaking down.

Jordan is awful- AWFUL! Check out his FT shooting, his lazy attitude. At least Tyson plays well in most games- Jordan plays like flu Tyson all year round.

Tyson plays like Flu Tyson all year. He was **** this year. All of his gaudy statistics on offense came on the back of Felton and Kidd's stellar play to start the season. Chandler is why we couldn't beat Indy and he didn't do much in us beating Boston.

I would try to unload Chandler NOW while he still has value. He was terrible this season and overrated the season before.

Jordan isn't lazy.

Dude is definitely serviceable though.

He's not blocking any trade..... he's making it difficult for them to get a deal done but eventually they will strike a deal. They have to split the deals up. No we're not in the Jordan market.

Clippers can still make a deal for Garnett regardless of Doc Rivers...

Celtics will let Rivers out of his deal and Clips will hire him outright or Doc will inform Celtics he'll walk away D'AnToni style. CP3 is shot calling and the Clips know they are on the clock for another couple weeks.

Clippers ends up with either Doc Rivers and Garnett or Brian Shaw/Scott and Garnett. If it's the former, it's still in essence splitting the deal up.

don't we already have 2 draft picks (a 1st & 2nd rounder). If so, I wouldn't mind that move except, I can't believe they would add the pick for just Chandler. He's not THAT much of an upgrade over Jordan for them to give up a pick imo but, if they were stupid enough to do so, we could definitely parlay those 3 picks into a very good player in trade or hopefully strike gold in the draft. 3 picks would make it more likely that at least one of them would be a keeper.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

The article clearly states Stern isn't letting the Garnett trade happen.

Doc Rivers can go to the Clippers but Stern will block any trade of Garnett to the Clippers.

Here is another article with Stern's quote.

Chris Paul has a great relationship with Chandler on and off the court. Paul is one of, if not the biggest, reasons Chandler recovered from being labeled a bust. Jordan is an actual shot blocker. Just sayin...

exactly, chandler isn't bringing anything different to the clippers like Garnett would.. so why would the clippers even entertain this kind of a deal?

good deal for us.. not so good for the clippers..

Chandler is better than Jordan and Chris Paul likes Chandler.

Knicks aren't trading Chandler straight up for Jordan.

Chandler IS better but not SIGNIFICANTLY so. In other words, he is not enough of an upgrade to justify a draft pick. At least that is how I'd look at it.
