As has been heavily rumored since the regular season...Garnett to Clippers for Jordan and 2 1st rounders with 1 exception to permission to hire Doc Rivers as head coach.

The snag is the inclusion of Bledsoe which I feel he won't be included. Boston wants Bleddy

It sounds like there is a chance Pierce is included in the deal. Is this a statement on Rondo?

That's too much to give up for KG!
KG might be slightly better but Jordan is younger. A 1 for 1 swap (no picks) is a fair deal or if anything favors Boston.

Agreed but this is the Clippers we're talking about. They've managed to square things away in recent seasons but still suffer from residual "suck-ass-itude". Needless to say, I wouldn't be shocked if they do something stupid. I do think that they need to roll the dice on Garnett though and for Paul Pierce if they can acquire. I suspect we'll see a trade where Doc Rivers is gift-wrapped to LAC and both those guys get traded for Jordan, Bledsoe and Caron Butler's contract as the backbone of the deal. If this happens, I'd have to think that the Clippers would be immediate favorites to win a title.

I am not a fan of giving up 2 first round picks, but KG can really do a lot in helping a guy like Blake Griffin develop and that is worth a lot right there.. the clippers have contender talent.. KG would really give that front line a vet they really need, who can still perform at a high level..

I think he showed signs of improvement earlier in the season. If he maintains his willingness to play with his back to the basket, I think he'd become one of the top 10 best centers in the league.

Deal is ok. Clippers giving up picks is crazy though.

Evidently the picks are being used to get Doc Rivers. RealGM is reporting that Rivers has a "no contest" provisio. In his contract that can allow him to walk away for picks. If all the Clippers are giving up are picks between this year and next year's draft, I think it'd be worth it.

yes, really,

i see it when i watch clippers play,

his limiting factor is his coordination, he lacks it, and you can't teach this; either it is in his brain or it is not; his hands are awful, pure garbage;

he has peaked,

he will always give you the swats, boards and near-the-rim buckets and slams, but he will never be anything more than he is today.

book it, danny

LOL

I do think that he lacks a lot of natural basketball skills, but to say he has peaked I would be careful, I saw him with a little jump hook this year, and a couple of years at a big mans camp can work wonders for him...... but don't worry, I will keep this thread in my mental bookmark....

ESPN's saying that they're also considering offering Blake Griffin and Bledsoe to LAL for Howard. LAC also considering Bledsoe to Orlando for Afflalo.

Sure because getting Howard without giving up Griffin wouldn't be advantageous.

If the Lakers can get that deal they should do it. The Lakers are probably losing Howard for nothing if they are not careful. I think he is the only max guy that would give up that extra 25 million to leave because his situation is so bad.

That's why if I were the Clips I would shave salary and get Howard through FA if he is willing to agree to it. He might get some fans back in the process for giving up that much money. I wouldn't,fans are not worth 25 million. Clippers should try it though to keep LA down by not giving them compensation.
