Nate Robinson Would Welcome Return To Knicks
Jun 01, 2013 8:19 PM EDT

Nate Robinson would be open to returning to the New York Knicks, according to his agent, Aaron Goodwin.

"Nate's first thought would be to remain with the Bulls, but if the Knicks' opportunity presented itself, I am sure he would appreciate an opportunity to play in New York again," Goodwin said.

Goodwin will likely seek a mid-level contract for Robinson, who will be an unrestricted free agent come July 1.

Robinson was drafted by the Knicks in 2005.

I think its almost impossible to bring nate here. Nate would be crazy to take less and I dont think that we can give up our mini mle to nate. Hes worthy of it but were just not in that type of position.

I recoil in horror at the thought of a JR & Nate backcourt. You can have one JR on your team, you can't have two if you want to do well.

Nate did a hell of a job for Chicago. He sure kicked our ass. Once again we take things too personal. Nate can play a score.

We cant afford him but yes he would help the team
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

You are probably right. He sure played his heart out for Chicago. Throwing up and all.

He has a point. Woodson giving both J.R and Nate carte blanche would be a disaster. I was impressed with what he did with the Bulls when D. Rose went down but not enough to want him back. Also worry about him falling back on old habits in NY.

To be honest I would rather that neither of them were here. I believe all the partying J.R did during the playoffs was due mostly to not being able to handle the pressure when the chips were down.

I agree with you on both JR and Nate, need to avoid the extroverts and concentrate on players that are basketball hungry.

Wrong Papabear. This would be J.R's third chance after stinking it up in the playoffs his first season in NY. Last season was his second chance.

Never said he had a drinking problem, your words, not mine. I am saying J.R was out all night trying not to think about what was expected of him in the playoffs. He couldn't handle the pressure and it showed.

I don't think nate value is that high. I doubt teams rebuilding or with a young nucleus go after him. His value is to teams competing for a champ with a vet locker room. Teams working over the cap.

We already have 3 streaky combo guards in JR, Felton, and Shumpert. Don't see what we would do with another one.

It would increase the probability of good guard play. One would have to be on. Right? Maybe?

I would welcome Nate back with no reservations. Our main problem is scoring and with teams loading up on melo nate would go crazy. The best part is that nate is a willing passer unlike JR.
