I'm NOT ashamed with knicks. Watching them BATTLE the heat, I see that they were a LEGIT ELITE team. Their size is hurting the heat, just like it hurt our knicks team. There's no shame in losing to them.

Thats ANOTHER reason why there wont be any major changes. Tyson struggled with Hibbert but it seems like a lot of people are. No need to trade away your defensive player of the yr & 1st team all NBA defender (no matter how much he has regressed).

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

"Shame" is a bit extreme. I'd say "very disappointed" that this was our 3 year peak in the Melo-Amare-Tyson era.

Ned, I respect your opinion, although I disagree

I am not blaming Tyson Chandler btw, although if there is one player that needs to be pointed at, I would choose his inability to defend Hibbert and unable to make Hibbert pay his man was cheating on him by protecting the paint

If I had to choose one person to blame it would be Woodson

because he calls the shots
he makes the subs
he calls the plays or lack of
he is suppose to make adjustments
he is suppose to hold guys accountable
he is suppose to prepare his soldiers on what to expect/how to counter

Did Woodson really do any of the above?

No I am not happy with the way we played, it isn't about losing, it is about NOT giving the lineups/adjustments a chance to succeed
No I don't like the way Melo played either but again, Woody allows it, and constantly wants 4 guys to stand around and watch as the other dances and is highly inefficient time after time

It is like Dantoni when he was complaining about PG play, while Lin was sitting on the bench
A few of us, the minority here were saying GIVE LIN A CHANCE, and for 3weeks to a month, he did not get that chance that we wanted earlier
He gave TD, Iman, Melo, Bibby, all chances to perform and he continues to play them, after they fail each time, while Lin was sitting there after he showed the ability to penetrate/set the team up in "garbage" minutes

Woodson is just as stubborn
His system is flawed on OFFENSE and DEFENSE, and whatever happened to "accountability"
You cannot switch and HELP on every player, it is common sense, come on....

Stop the barking on Novak and Copeland because they don't snap at u, while letting other's made horrible decisions and not doing anything about it
And about DEFENSE on Copeland from the barking, why would you play STAT and when he has not played for 3 months and we all know his DEFENSE is much worse than Cope's

It is easy as 1, 2, 3, Hibbert is eating up Tyson and Tyson cannot take advantage of Hibbert cheating, put in someone else
Martin is too small for Hibbert but showed the ability to defend West
Copeland and 4 shooters, so 5 total, was hard for Hibbert to cheat on and we had success in the regular season with the blowout to Pacer's but Copeland doesn't play till game 5 and we won, then he plays a smaller role next game

What about Camby, Earl Barron? Planter fasiclates my ass, " like veterans?"
I am not saying they would have worked, but when you have other 7 footers to utilize and your guy is not getting it done, try SOMETHING ELSE

We were unable to get in the paint for much of the entire series, OF COURSE WE ARE NOT GOING TO WIN
If Hibbert is cheating, put Copeland at the 5 and see if his 40% shot will change things up

We played like crap in the Celtic series, as we got exposed, Pacer's followed up with it but they were much more talented and younger
I am positive the assistant coaches told Woodson to get Copeland some minutes but he is just too stubborn
Get another assistant coach in there Grunwald, someone that does the above, cause Tyson, Amare, Shumpert, already opened their mouths, they are not happy with Woodson's system
He need's someone on his ass that isn't afraid to hold players accountable to do the dirty work as a COACH

What on earth are you talking about? Why would anyone feel shame over something you have no control over? Of course the Pacers are a better team; that was obvious in the series. A healthy Bulls team is probably better than us as well. We're like #4 in the East.

Pissed? Yeah. He's just saying that "shame" would be a bizarre emotion to feel. People feel shame when they've done some that they personally regret that was immoral or reflects bad character (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shame)

I think it is the Tyson/Melo era. Amare missed a third of the games last year and only played in 29/82 games this past season. Tyson was pretty disappointing for the final month and a half of the year as well. Getting hurt isn't the issue. Playing your worst ball in your career and then calling out your teammates and coaching staff in the media when you were brought in because of your professionalism, championship pedigree and leadership is not what the team needs for 15 mil. If you can't play, can't be reflective and improve and can't lead in a professional manner there is no reason for you to be a 15 mil cap hold.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

Yup. Is there 1 position that we are better than them? One can argue that George and Melo are on equal footing now so other positions we are pretty much toast.

I don't think they are better then us, I think they are longer then us. They have the better team, but we have the better star player. I think if JR doesn't drop off the face of the earth we win that series in seven.

I thought it'd be closer as well, but I wasn't counting on JR being AWOL and Tyson being completely outmatched. I think we'd do better next season if Amar'e can give us some minutes, and Woody actually put in some offense, but then again, I really think they're going to get better just from experience. And they have Granger they can move.

I think some tweeks put us right back in the mix, which is what's important. At the point there nothing that guarantees success, its all about who gets hot.

+1
I do think its fair to say though that the Knicks should end their reliance on 3 point shooting.
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Thats whey they are better. In that moment in time they were better.

JR did drop off. Sometimes injury matters too.

IN the regular season (large sample) our record proved it. Head to head, they were better.

It appears in the playoffs they improved and found thier identity.
