Or we could take what we could get. Hopefully he averages 15 and 6 thentry to trade him next offseason as an expiring contract. Could an injury exception even be used with us over the cap not sure how that works

Neither am I but I still think the more attractive options I had involved him voluntarily retiring and him being forced to retire. Either one frees up a boat load of money.

At this point, we just have to hope Amare can stay upright for 50 or 60 games next season, and especially for the playoffs.

Doesn't make sense to "sabotage" his career, when he's 1 year after next from being a free agent, and a very valuable expiring contract.

Im thinking maybe we, you know, lease a "special" plane, but pull Melo off of it at the last minute.

Then, you know, maybe something should befall this "Speacial" plane which may cause it have a rapid decent in a manner condusive to a tragic circumstance and no survivors. Im thinking there is insurance for such a thing and you know, the league Im sure will allow for special exemptions to sign players. Im condoning this type of rapid decension but if you want to rebuild there are ways to speed up the process. The question is can Dolan black flag such a thing without Alex Smith and his minions of truth seekers tie it all togther. You know, that Dolan is in the Illuminati. Me, personally I think Dolan is too immature for such inclusion.

So in this scenario we have a core of

Dwight
Cp3
Melo

Im thinking Shump has to be on this plane so don't look too funny if you know what I mean?

So the rest I'll leave up to use and your forum buddies.

Short of that, Im thinking you got Amare and you just hope for the best that he can put a good season together. These guys talk but at the end of the day he knows if he is on a minute count or not and will decide whats best for him. You have to hope they are both good for each other.

Yeah yeah! They're going to play an exhibition game in South America, and their chartered plane crashes high in the Andes....

Nardog..why dont you send the mob to bust his knee caps. I know youre trying to be creative but thats crossng the line. And for what? To hope we get an injury exception?or that he retires?
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Amare clearing isn't going to be content with coming off the bench moving forward and playing a reduced role based on what he's said in his exit interviews. This could be a big problem for us since we can no longer trust him to be a key to our success and can't readily trade him either. So what do we do?

Maybe we should give him exactly what he wants; a central role on the team. Make him play in every practice at full speed; start him and play him 48 minutes a game. You see where I'm going with this?

The guy is an injury waiting to happen unless we use kiddie gloves around him, by keeping him out of practices, not playing him in back to back's, etc for a reason. If we run him into the ground, which could probably happen in 2 weeks, could we force him out for an extended period of time? Maybe we could do this well enough during the season to force an injury exception out of it. $10 million-ish is alot of money to play with, for bringing in a player and/or players we want. Maybe we do this long enough and we force a career ending injury that permanently takes Amare's contract off the books. Maybe Amare decides to retire before this happens, I don't know. This alternative does get his money off the books, so do you guys think?

That's how the Knicks should treat a professional athlete? Do we then apply a similar strategy to all the players we no longer like or who produce less than the value of their contracts?

I am considering to nominate this for the stupidest post ever award.

In all honesty, it was suppose to read as a bit of dark humor but the humor aspect of it I bombed on. Either that or none of you guys have a sense of humor. I'll go with the later to spare my feelings.

Yes, this one bombed because it was presented without humor or obvious sarcasm.

I thought by throwing in a whole bunch of questions (e.g. "what do you guys think?" and "do you see where i'm going with this?" instead of just coming right out and saying it) after every "breadcrumb" that it would've registered. I guess in my head, I had intonations going on that didn't carry in the message. Anyway, I'm embarrassed now, lol.

NO - I'm sorry but Isiah Thomas proved that things can go south in a hurry when your organization lacks any semblence of integrity. This is beyond absurd

LMAO. I just tried deleting the thread because apparently I'm horrible at telling jokes/being sarcastic online and it only deleted the single intro post. Mods, if you could delete this thread I'd be much obliged.
