Did you feel as if this series was officiated fairly? I normally don't whine or complain about calls, but this series had a lot of head scratchers.

yea, it was fair,

if you come correct it doesn't matter how the refs call it, because you have superior talent (the knicks do),

we just didn't have it, and the biggest culprit to my mind was tyson chandler, who i am sure is either stoned or throwing the games

I really didn't mind the calls, but sometimes I felt they weren't always consistent with them, and that bothered me.

With everything going on during a game there are always going to be questionable calls. But it wasn't officiating that made JR, Tyson and, to a lesser extent, Melo play like crap this series. That's all on the team.

This was one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen; on par with the Kings-Lakers back in the day. All you have to do is look at the free throw disparity and fouls called disparity. We shot about 18 free throws and they shot 40. There is no ****ing way a team that physical pulls that off. Ultimately, the refeering improved in the 2nd half but that doesn't say much considering how abyssmal it was to start. I mean, they called two phantom fouls against Shumpert and Martin in the final minutes of the game, which NEVER get called. The league needs to investigate these guys because I'm sure there are a few Tim Donaghey's in the bunch.

This is what I'm saying. I swear Lance Stephenson had two offensive fouls. One on Felton and the other on Prig. They went flying back and he nade the basket.

Don't think the league wasn't in on it.

It was atrocious, plain and simple. What irritated me was that there was no consistency in the calls. If we're physical then it's a foul. If they're physical, then it's "play on". On multiple occasions I saw West physically holding a player until he caught a pass and it was NEVER called a foul. But at least the refs wallets will be a little heavier.

It was obvious from the 1st game. Hibbert was getting away with killing everyone in the paint. NY got called for touch fouls all series. The FT discrepancy was horrible all series and tonight much worse. 40-18???? really?

With that the team could have won.

Not saying that the league was and they don't have to be. Tim Donaghey wasn't working under league directive when he did what he did. He did mention that refs betting on games was commonplace back then though but since we live in this kindergarten country of ours, he did a bad thing and is a liar so anything that comes out of his mouth is a lie. And then we have ****ing games like this one...

Again the main reason the knicks lost was because they were awdul in Games 1 3 and 4.

For the record, I got it wrong. The free throw disparity was 46 to 18; not 40-18. So it was a Shaq rape no lube, not a Shaq rape with lube.

Right. The NBA desperately wanted the small market NY Knicks to lose to the large market Indiana Pacers to setup the greatly anticipated Miami-Indy ECF.

Ridiculous. Watch the heat series and see if Hibbert and Ian are allowed to play that way. How about Barry saying Ian went straight up when he bumped spun and hit shumps arm. The last foul on Kmart was the explanation point on a series that the refs dominated.
