It's all coming to the fruits,

look at this,

tyson shouldn't be in the nba,

jr is in the club not on the court when he is playing,

i actually FEEL FOR MELO in this one, because this guy, he's the only baller we got,

with all of Melo's faults he's 10 times the baller than anyone else on this junker they call an NBA team,

let's scrap it all and put some NBA players around Melo,

MESSAGE TO MELO:

MELO, I'M SORRY YOU GOT YOURSELF INTO THIS, YOU POOR GUY, AND I'M SORRY FOR BEING HARD ON YOU ALL THESE YEARS

Melo's trying hard but he's had a nightmare post-season. I might have called Felton our only baller.

to fall apart like this, this is unprecedented in the history of the nba, maybe the universe even,

felton is our mvp for the playoffs,

Just made a similar post. Melo did his part, no blame to him, it's everyone else.

it's never his fault

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

He got killed the games he played like dog crap in the Boston series and earlier in this one. I dont understand the problem. Just because we dont blame him for not being able to beat the Celtics and Heat all by himself in previous seasons, we somehow never place blame on him?
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Guy has a dislocated shoulder and still was the only guy other than Felton that could get anything done on offense.

Melo takes more heat than any star player in the NBA. From the media and the fans. The only player who was up there with him was Westbrook, but ever since he went down people are (rightly) realizing his value.

I don't have a problem with people defending him, and not blaming him for every evil that befalls the Knicks. For giving him the benefit of the doubt. If they don't, who will?

He's shooting and passing worse than any other "star" player in the NBA though.

I don't think he's come close to deserving the mountain of shyt he's gotten slung at him this season and I don't have a problem with a Knick fan or a basketball fan in general defending him or giving him the benefit of the doubt. Or simply not blaming him for every evil that befalls the Knicks. And I'll just leave it at that.

Melo and JR's supporting cast this post-season has averaged 47 PPT on 40 shots a game. I don't know what more people expect from them on offense.

Melo haters have raging hard-ons now, and while I guess he technically could play better, the real problem is mostly everyone else has been AWFUL

Plus/minus is not the whole story. There is just nobody else for Indiana to really focus in on defense. Nobody else (that gets minutes, at least) is a threat from outside. Paint gets packed and Melo keeps running into a wall. Sure, I guess he could hit more threes but how much can you ask from the guy? He isn't Lebron

this is not all on Melo - but if his shoulder is dislocated, why can't he pass? Why doesn't his coach realize that we need to have Melo beat the double team like Jordan did - by making the pass to the open man?

How many years is he in the league, that he has the ball as much in his hands - and he still can't get his team mates easy baskets?

They haven't been doubling Melo that much in the series....
