The Kenyon Martin signing has been a gift from God. How was this man not signed by anybody until halfway through the year is astonishing! He still has it! We've lacked an such an athletic defensive front court player probably since Camby's first stint in NY. I'm a big fan!

Pablo Prigioni has been the floor general that the Knicks have needed to keep them steady. Also signed outright for no assets in exchange.

Copeland the 28 year old rookie. Great find.

JKidd, another steady hand on the floor. A terrific pick up contributing way more than I ever thought a 40 y/o guard ever could.

Grunwald has done a terrific job finding players without needing assets to get them (except for that bum, Camby).

Hopefully Chandler is getting his wind. A healthy Chandler and Martin backing him up are a great platoon at Center.

couldn't agree more my greek friend. sounds like amar'e wants to come back in time for the 2nd round, how the hell does woodson work this? martin is the best big man on the team right now, you can't cut ANY of his minutes. at this point, amar'e is such a problem defensively that i don't know how the hell you play him.

but back to what you originally said - the kenyon signing is the first sign of good luck this franchise has had in a loooooooong time.

Good luck?

Pablo, Felton, JR smith, Copeland, Novak, and Lin have all been good luck.

Actually, the team is been very fortunate even with injuries. We have dealt with them and had the luxury of a deep team to supplant them.

...and I'm enjoying every second of this Blessing.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

It's going to be extremely hard to try and reintroduce Amar'e in the mix at this time of year. What I suppose Woody will do is give him some short stints at the appropriate time to see how it goes, but he won't allow STAT to disrupt what the team is doing. One thing that could help is if we finish this series early and the team gets a lot of days off to work STAT into the mix and the coaches can see how it works.

I love what we're getting from KMart right now. It just makes the team so responsive on D. He was without a doubt the best pick up we could hope for.

and again, not trying to be captain hindsight over here, but I wanted the Knicks to sign him up at the start of the season, and I really couldn't believe no other team went for him that long.
That may have been nostalgia on my part but seeing Melo, JR and K-Mart on the same team again just puts a smile on my face.

This is like evaluating Melo when he was injured and shooting .390 last year.

I agree Amare needs to be brought back very slowly until he is in game shape and only when the offense is sputtering and stagnant. We could actually use Amare in the later rounds as the competition gets stiffer. Its on Woodson how he utilizes him. Im confident Woodson will will do the right thing

We split up 18 minutes between Cope and Novak last night. Keep Kenyon in the rotation and give STAT those minutes. At this point, we're not losing anything from either of those two.

it utterly baffles me why ANY team didn't sign this guy.

If we make it to the ECF, KMart vs Birdman is going to be EPIC!

I think the Knicks are far from blessed in the sense that they've had so many players with crucial injuries. That said they were very lucky to pick up Martin- but that's not a ton of luck. Martin is a known quantity in the league and people chose not to sign the guy, so it is what it is. They were more fortunate to strike gold with a guy like Copeland Or PRigioni.

It's really just Amare who's out and the team seems to be much better without him.

Sheed, Camby. If those 2 guys are healthy the Knicks are a much more complete team. Kmart as picked up the slack for those 2.
