If they pick a traditonal line up 2 guard 2 forwards and a center then its possible that Melo could get left off.
You figure
Lebron
Kobe
Durant
Chris Pul
and undeserving center

Yeah I know we got bigger things to worry about.

Most likely Melo will be 2nd team although I dont think the center position should have a spot.

It's been awhile since the scoring champ has been 2nd team though.

It's simple, if they change the setup to what it's like in the ASG now he will be 1st team. If they keep it the same them he will be 2nd team.

it's a gray area but if the allstar team has abandoned the center position then some could make a case that the all-nba teams should go with 2g and 3f.

if that's the case then melo would probably make it if it were not for his questionable defense and borderline efficiency.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

the good news is Tyson is in the running for that center spot along with Duncan. maybe Im biased but I would give it to Tyson if you absolutely have to give it to a center. and I dont think it is a definite that Melo will get left off... it could be Paul or Kobe. Kobe put up numbers but he would get my vote for 2nd team

nothing against Melo but Durant and Lebron deserve to be in at the Forward spots over ANYONE

Tyson who? Chandler for real. Well okay that's your opinion but I would go with someone else.

I love Tyson Chandler but he has been horrible this year and very inconsistent
There are many games in which he just doesn't even give the effort and is FAR from his play as DPOY last season
Yes, Tyson has not had much help and has injuries as well, but there are at least 10-13 centers that should deserve consideration before him

I could see Roy Hibbert in there at center.

I got Duncan and then if Noah wasn't hurt he would be up there with Hibbert
Dwight really stepped it up after half the season once he got back in shape but had a horrible start

Sanders as leading shot blocker in entire league should get consideration
I just don't think Marc Gasol is that good by the numbers at least...

Hard to not give consideration to Harden and Curry at the guard spots as well

Curry is close to 50% FG, 50% 3pt shot while breaking Ray Allen's record, with 90% FT to go along with his points and assits

If you want to say Gasol, I'll give you that and possibly Hibbert. Noah and Chandler are essentially a wash if you look at the numbers. Maybe you like Noah more because of defense - okay. I think the rest of that list is reach and still doesn't hit 10-13 names. But go for it, I suppose.

Bosh is another one since they play small.

Not trying to be a homer but if Melo knocks Durant out, it would be no crime. Melo has had an amazing season and it should also be noted. But same goes for Durant as if he is the one to make the team, who would complain?

I think Duncan would be the consensus pick at C.

Noah also has assists and he played a better year. I wouldn't go with a lot of the names Ronn had though.

Durant's numbers are to strong to ignore and he led his team to 1st place in the west.

I bolded the ones that I think there's a legitimate case for that player being better/having a bigger impact than Tyson

Take a guy like Vucevic - numbers are awesome - but I don't for a minute believe he had a bigger impact than Tyson.

Anyway - thank you - I have softened my stance on this a little. That said, Chandler is going to get some All NBA votes
