it will be Kevin Garnett doing everything in his power to get in Anthony’s head and make it snap, crackle, pop once again.

Kenyon Martin says Melo need not worry.

“I got it,” Martin told The Post yesterday.

In what way?

“It won’t happen, man, ’cause he ain’t gotta do all that bangin’ and all that with KG no more,” K-Mart said.

Because?

“Cause I’m here,” he said.

Martin was not a Knick when Garnett said whatever cereal trash-talkers say that got Anthony crazy.

“A lot of the stuff he’s sayin’, he does, is to motivate himself,” K-Mart said. “I don’t believe in it. It’s all fluff to me.”

But if he starts flapping his gums at Melo?

I’ll intervene,” Martin said. “Bottom line.”

Kmart was the missing piece. We havent had a guy who would stick up for his teammates in a very long time. Im glad he is a knick just took a little longer than I had hoped but he is here and completely changes the dynamic of this team

Exactly. Kevin will not talk smack to a guy he knows will punch him in the mouth. He's a punk that only picks on guys that he knows won't react. He though the same about Anthony but, now knows better. I doubt he'd go there again with Melo but, if he does, Kenyatta, I mean Kenyon will handle it.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

We have some high character guys on this team, but none of them are backing down from anyone. melo was struggling that game and kg easily got into his head once he saw that..Melo was bearly getting calls and missing his shots from everywhere.

We gotta play smart, silly techs and flagrant fouls change momentum quickly..

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Words, just words.

Celts will try to get in knicks head who does have a tendency to react badly this season AT TIMES (not a season long indictment).

Im sure the coaches and players are aware of it and don't need us to help them with mental toughness.

Its an interesting aspect to this series.

Lets see how our team reacts when they get pushed.

WWOD! "what would oak do?" Gotta love the oak reference.

Also depends on who is doing the talking. Good odds that Kmart will follow through on what he said. I like it because the last time Melo got into it with KG his teammates didn't back him up for the most part. Kmart is saying that's not going to happen this time. Lets Melo know that someone has his back. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

Thanks to the preferences of Glen Grunwald and Mike Woodson, we have a roster dominated by battle-tested veterans. Once the marathon season was survived with its inevitable injuries ... we now have a majority of our men in better health... and we have ingrained mental toughness forged in years of professional experience.

The cool part is the roles have been fluid, and effective.

Rookie Pablo Prigioni, formerly a 35 year old pine brother, is now a starter with a helluva record. Cope, formerly a summer league flash in the pan, is filling it like (cough, "say what?!") Bernard King.

Earl Barron grabs 19 rebounds off the street. Jason Kidd is smiling and ready. Earl Smith is now starring on Broadway when it matters most. You think he embraces the adulation? You damn skippy.

Kenyon Martin, a retread off the scrap heap, is our number one crazy-man enforcer, next to Tyson Chandler.

Our 40 year anniversary championship team just left some pearls of wisdom in the locker room.

Are we not entertained?

Our enforcer is awesome.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Oak wouldn't need to do anything. His reputation alone would have shook Garnett

I believe the word you're looking for is "fugazy".

If there's one guy on this team I believe will back his words up, it's Kenyon.

What makes you think kmart is a fake thug? His history indicates otherwise. Im pretty sure he is aware that this was one of the main reasons he was brought in if not the reason
