This is a good team but it is possible that these injuries to the bigs will be the ultimate demise.

Dejaun Blair and Moz are 2 decent options we should be able to afford.

Andrew Bynum, his hair and his bad knees will be available this summer.

Knicks should add Greg Oden. If he pans out, great. If not, we'd be expecting it.

Looking for a 20-25 minute solid big man who basically brings a lot of what an old age KMart or Rasheed could bring.
Or a healthy Turiaf or Jordan Hill type. Just quality minutes - scores when he's open, defends, and looks like he requires boxing out.

How about Samardo Samuels? He just kind of hangs around the basket and does damage. Hurt the Knicks late last year on the Cavs. Think Blair without the questions about his knees or a poor man's Elton Brand. He was dropped by Cleveland earlier this year; currently average 19.9ppg/10.3rpg/EFF 20+. He just turned 24 in January. Listed as 6'9", perhaps closer to 6'7"...

I also would love to take another look at Jerome Jordan or Jorts. Both will likely be looking for another NBA opportunity.

would also help our roster-spots/efficiency if half isn't C eligible

Chandler
Camby
Thomas
Wallace
Martin
STAT

Copeland F/C PF really a stretch 4/5 that could play limited SF but cannot defend most of em because of his lack of speed and would be better as a stretch 5 than a 3 for that reason

that is 7 roster spots that are dedicated to one position
how many here are true PF's??? in 2013 not 1999 - early 2000

IF JR SMITH is coming back, I would expect to have to use WASTE one spot to sign Chris Smith as well
IF Copeland gets paid more than the vet min by another team, I would target Anthony Tolliver for a similar role but with better DEF, whom I wanted this summer

Would like to add some athletic/long Forwards like MEMELO's Syracuse buddy Hakim Warrick in which is a FA right now that we could pick up to use on Lebron/Durant for this year and next

not sure if Stephen Jackson/Ron Artest *amnesty*/James Johnson would be available for the vet min, but I think they could be realistic options with the vet min players in this past summer

I am also a big fan of GS's Brandon Rush who would be coming back from ACL/Knee Surgery out first game of the year...
I know it is a gamble but his value would be buying at a low price, especially with GS in the tax penalty with Jack looking for an extension as a UFA
Cannot see why they would not want to make a legit offer for Jack while they might let undersized Carl Landry go, as a small market team, they probably would be looking to shed some salary in order to stay under luxury tax and keeping Jack
Even though I am not sure what Jack might be able to get in free agency as he has played a great year as a candidate as 6th man of the year, I am guessing he is worth at least 5-6m at a multi year deal, I expect a lot of teams to be bidding for a solid PG/SG/SF

Rockets has a lot of young PFs. I would contact Morey and see if can get one of them.

They might do a roster purge to clear more money for Dwight similar to what they did with Morris.

Sure, if you want to give up 2018 1st rounder's 2020 1st rounder's or this year's pick, along with 2017+ 2nd round picks
They are interested in collecting assets from NY, it is their specialty

Don't we have a second round pick this year? Chandler played in the Olympics and an NBA season after playing an accelerated season last year. Tyson doesn't have to do anything this offseason. Should be ok for next season.

Some of the best big men (at one time or another) of the last 15 years are on this squad. Would be a great environment for someone to learn the game. Lots of willing teachers on this squad.

No, I believe this one is going to Wizards for Chandler trade
If not, it is going to Portland or Houston for Felton/Camby with all of our 2nd round picks through 2016???

We have OKC's 2nd round pick NEXT summer, although it will likely be one of the last picks of the draft for Brewer which probably doesn't hold much trade value alone
Wonder if we can not spend our 3m in trades this year and use it NEXT SUMMER so we can buy some 2nd round picks, hopefully 2/3 with OKC's pick moving higher

Crap. Maybe Grunwald can get one before the draft.

We still our first rounder this year and I don't think we can trade it until after the draft. We should be able to pick up one big. I'd rather use that pick on a point guard tho.

DANTE CUNNINGHAM!ive been begging for him all yr. kurt thomas clone who does alot of dirty work. only costs $2-3mil
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I think the Knicks could pick him up. The march 1 rule applies to guys that already had an nba contract for that season.

We really need someone. Hilton can rebound block shots and score opportunistically--I think people would be surprised if he was here on fit. Tyson looked like he we cant risk Kenyon to injury now. We need a live body who can step in tomorrow.
