Lets see how much lumping there really exists:

After this season.......Who do you think will win a championship first?

Rockets-Cap space and picks still left to do serious roster building
Denver-Picks, flex, managable cap and Youthier talent
Knicks-Melo is the cornerstone with Tyson
Clevelend-Uncle Drew, cap space, Utes, picks and Lebron might return?

There is no telling. In 5 years lots can change. I wonder who we'll swap Stoudemire with? I won't pick Denver as long as Karl is head coach. 25 years with 0 championships. As of right now the favorites are San Antonio, OKC and Miami. Not sure why they were left off the list. And what if LeBron came to NEW YORK with LeBron at SF/Melo at PF...

Just answer the question. Its a simple one. read the question.

Its not "Who will will", its just about which one of the choices you think could.

Not who wins the next 5, which one cracks into the elite.

The point of the exercise is to De-Lump.

Its not hate on the knicks or love the anti-knick KNuggs or Rockets.

How can we answer this silly thread and/or question?

Give me the rosters of these teams 2-5 years from today. The postseason seedings. Postseason matchups. Injuries to these players etc, etc... What a thread.

Wait, I thought you can predict the future?

Does this lesson resonate with you or do you argue even when your wrong?

Your arguements are based on past performance. You are as clueless of the future as we all are.

You just don't think you are. That does not make you stupid BTW, just some of the things you say are baseless.

As if the Thunder doesn't have a true superstar in Durant. One who Harden can never compare to. As if the Rockets are currently nothing more than an 8th seed in which coule be on the verge of missing the postseason. As if Jeremy Lin has shown he can perform under postseason pressure as a starting PG.

Rockets and championship talks? A joke.

Hard to say. I think Rockets if they land someone like Dwight or make another big move. Harden is going to continue to improve (which is scary). So will Lin. And I really like Asik. Always have since the Bulls days.

Although if Denver could angle themselves for one star somehow and keep Faried and Lawson I think they can have a shot. But they need a Harden, or dare I say, Melo type.

I still haven't written off the Knicks. I think they could win if they're closer to the team they played like through the first 25-30 games. Coach and stars (Melo/Tyson) have to get the team in line though.

Yes. It is a joke. How can you talk about the Rockets winning a championship while erasing all the other teams in the NBA? The Rockets will NEVER be as good as the OKC Thunder moving forward. Never. Not with Lin at PG they won't. How about they first make the postseason as something better than the 8th seed...?

I think if Dwight is smart he loves and goes to the Rockets. Very little pressure in Houston and Harden is better than Kobe. Throw in all there outside shooters and young team and they are the favorite for years to come.

Probably none of the above, but I hope the Knicks do. Skill and smart decisions only play a part in it- at the end of the day luck has a big role to play. Which players become available, which draft picks work out, who becomes injured, who you play against in the playoffs. I think the rockets are being a bit over rated at the moment- they're in a good position but they've still got a ways to go.

Houston is definitely the best fit for Dwight. As far as the original question, Knicks have the best shot at a title as currently constructed out of those teams, but a lot can change. I have always believed a team built around Melo and Chandler can compete, but the right pieces and right role players must be in place.

What are you doing my dude? Don't you know this type of talk isn't allowed on our Knicks board?

But yea, if Shumpert can re-gain form and improve upon last season? We could have something very special in Shumpert moving forward. A core of Iman Shumpert, Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire and Tyson Chandler can do some things.

Question--aren't you the dude on another board that said you'd take Tyson and Lin over Chris Paul?

None of those players is as good as Harden and if the past is a predictor of the future, probably not as good as the player Morey will use his max-contract FA money on the future. Our best player might be their third best player though.
